I think that for Star Wars 9 the best character should have been C-3PO. He risked everything so that the Resistance could find the Sith Wayfinder and it is a really nice way to finish the movies, seeing him go from an unfinished droid to a hero

Hey, I can agree with that. I think Ian and Ewan are extremely underrated. They brought those characters to life in the prequels so well that it just feels natural. I've never seen anyone mention it. Like, Ian and Ewan are Palpatine and Obi-Wan. Also, side note, the Emperor's name of Sidious/Palpatine just nailed his evil so well that it's always associated to him now. Jed brought it up in the video and it struck me that people liked the name so much that they practically abandoned calling him the "Emperor."

You can see how much emotions he has during any lightsaber fight in the movie after him playing a part of a generic politician. He maniacaly cackles and growls because he finally gets to fucking kill someone and take over the republic. Definitely agreed

Here's my thoughts. Ep 1- Darth Maul. I know how he only appears for like 8 minutes on screen but it started so much for Star Wars. Ep 2- Count Dooku. I love Christopher Lee and his performance is great. Dooku is so cool and his curved hilt is so good. Ep 3- Obi Wan. He really comes into his own character in this. A teacher, a brother and a loyal jedi. Ep 4- Han Solo. I agree with Jedwerd's words, he's such a charismatic character in this film. Ep 5- Darth Vader. Vader is so cool here. Especially in the Duel on Bespin. Just an absolute powerhouse from start to finish. Ep 6- Luke Skywalker. He really makes a change in his power for the better and he becomes the hero but with flaws, which makes him better. Ep 7- Kylo Ren. In this film he is such a cool, maniacal villain. His mask is cool and his lightsaber is even cooler. But he does fall off in the other sequels. Ep 8- Poe. I agree with Jedwerd again. Poe is a good character in a bad trilogy. He is skilled, important and fun to watch. Oscar Isaac is a grade A actor too. Ep 9- Sorry I literally can't pick anyone from here. I guess I'll go with Lando. Rogue One- This is really hard but I'll go with Cassian Andor. He is a cool guy all the way through the film, he perfectly fits into the puzzle that is a star wars film. Solo- Chewbacca is amazing to see in action here. He is really friendly to his friends but a war machine in the heat of battle. Clone Wars Movie- Asajj Ventress. She appears as such a cool character in this film and I do love a good female sith lord. Clone Wars- Captain Rex. He is there all the time and is a great soldier but also has a conscience for his fellow troopers. (Thought I'd include the clone wars since it's very significant)

I agree with most of the characters you ranked. The one thing I have a different opinion on is Solo, I think it was a good movie that just added more onto Han and Chewie, while also bringing back Maul and having an overall good story, with lots of characters, cool planets, and action packed senarios, and it kept in line with the rest of the movies. I honestly would like to see a vid where you break down Solo for it's faults, as I'd like to see why some people have a problem with it

Honestly Finn was the best in ep. 7 and I’d say Kylo Ren was the best in 9. Finn had so much development throughout 7 and had a good place going forward (until the 2 others ruined him) and Kylo Ren had a good arc in 9 and was the only character that really had a good story throughout the trilogy.

Honestly for episode 7, the best in my opinion is Finn. I definitely see your point about K.R. being a cool character (in the first one anyway). However since Kylo is beaten by Rey several times effortlessly he just keeps losing the intimidation factor that made him cool in the first place. Just like Hux, he became a character we couldn’t really take seriously. As for Finn I like his character development from a frightened first order defector to a resistance hero. I mean sure he has flaws, but this is the sequel trilogy literally every character has flaws. He’s ok in the other films I guess but his character change in episode 7 is something I actually kinda like about the sequel trilogy. Sorry this went on for so long just felt like ranting about something 😅

The best characters to me throughout the trilogies not including sequels, sequels saved for last. Episode 1: Anakin Skywalker (it started with the chosen one it ended with the chosen one at the end of the trilogy) Episode 2: jango Fett (he's a pre cursor to the beginning of the empire and the stormtroopers. He's also boba Fetts dad and he's a pre cursor to the greatest bounty hunter in original trilogy) Episode 3: Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader pre armor (he went far to betray his Jedi allies and side with the enemy to build a future of lies and nothing but a reward of great pain and suffering he is the best character of episode 3) Episode 4: Darth Vader 2nd best: Han solo (Darth Vader and Han solo are the best characters in episode 4. They are cool) Episode 5: Luke Skywalker 2nd best: Yoda (Luke trains growing in character and Yoda advises him throughout his training. If not for Yoda Luke would never learn to be a Jedi in the first place) Episode 6: Luke Skywalker 2nd & 3rd best: jabba the Hutt and the emperor (Luke is more wise than before, jabba sits on a throne and mocks Luke but he goes far as to bluff Luke of his Bluffing to be a Jedi knight and send him down the rancor Pitt. And the emperor just be's a dick to Luke throughout the time he gets there to his throne room) Sequels in my opinion. Episode 7: Kylo Ren (hes a wannabe Vader but he goes bad insane if someone doesn't get the job done right) Episode 8: snoke (he's a copycat emperor but he spit spunk at the wannabe female Luke and manipulated Kylo at least tried to) Episode 9: Lando calrissian (Lando appeared late but better late than never this guy got lucky throughout the trilogy at least Lando and Chewbacca and 3po and r2 are the only original trilogy characters left, if they kill off Lando or Chewbacca I'm going to throw a chair at the bastard who thought it was a good idea to keep killing more original characters from the original trilogy)

Episode 1- Jinn and Maul carried this movie, but Maul gets the edge for how badass he looks and fights, also that drip with the saber Episode 2- Jango, great seeing a bounty hunter with more screen time Episode 3- Obi Wan- the actor kills it here and Obi fought so much in this film Episode 4- Han Episode 5- Vader- the twist that he's Luke's father is great Episode 6- Luke- he gains more confidence and saved Vader in the end Rogue One- Erso for sure, probably the only character I cared about it outside of Vader 7-9-characters sucked

My official list would have to be: I - Qui-Gon (but I also think it's close between him and Darth Maul); II - Yoda (that's one of my least favorite movies of the whole saga, and Yoda's duel with Dooku is one of the few good parts); III - Obi-Wan (Anakin is a very close second place to me as well); Han Solo - Chewie (but I actually didn't hate Qi'Ra); Rogue One - Jyn Erso (K2SO comes close too); IV - Han Solo (maybe Obi-Wan would come close if he still counted, but Han is certainly the best in this movie); V - Darth Vader VI - Luke I like to consider the sequels as Legends, because I just dont want to believe what Disney did, but only because I don't want to leave the list incomplete: VII - Kylo Ren (BB8 is the second place) VIII - Poe Dameron IX - C3PO (the only other actually good character I can think of in this movie is Babu Friik, he cracks me up)

5:07 I think anakin was ok in the third film but not as great in attack of the clones. The character of anakin definitely peaked in the clone wars, he definitely seemed like a completely different person during that series, just far more wise like a proper jedi. If i hadn't seen the clone wars I would have assumed that anakin was still obi wan's apprentice

My ranking: Episode 1: Qui-Gon Jinn. He's the OG Jedi here, so I have to hand it to him. But Darth Maul being the OG Sith comes in a close second. Episode 2: It's a tie between Dooku and Mace Windu. So... either or. Both I find to be extremely Bad-butt, so it could go either way. Episode 3: Sheev Palpatine. Great representation of his character. But Yoda and Obi-Wan were right behind him. Han Solo: Chewie. Best character here. I don't remember much about this movie tbh. Rogue One: K-2SO, followed by Jyn and Chirrut. He's just comedic relief done right. (Cough Couch! Jar Jar! [Hate the character, love the actor]) And Jyn is a female protag done right. (Y'all know what I'm putting down.) And Chirrut is just a great take of a force sensitive. And gotta give Darth a shout out for the killer hallway scene! Episode 4: Obi-Wan Kenobi, hands down. The mentor who confronted his past after years finally gets the start of his closure. They also did a remake of the Darth Vader and Obi-Wan fight scene, so watch that here, because it's insane: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqCVhICknJmoZ80 Episode 5: Luke Skywalker. Legendary character, you get a sense of his genuine character arc, and it's amazing. Also, love the start of green lightsabers in this movie, and for a funny accidental reason. Episode 6: The man himself (Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker). No need to further explain myself. Episode 7 (Great... the sequels are here): Finn. Most decent character besides Kylo ren in this movie. But gotta save Kylo for later. Episode 8: Poe Dameron. Most sensible and actually relatable character pretty much from the whole sequels. Episode 9: Kylo Ren. I like how he got his redemption arc, it's far from perfect, but its good at least. I do hate the introduction of force healing, so I'm going to stop myself here before this turns into an essay (or 2... hundred) of what I think is wrong with the sequels. And I stand by my opinions with a passion.

The original trilogy is always my favorite trilogy :) In terms of the best character in each episode: Episode 1: Qui Gon (I wish we saw him more but because he died, this led to Anakin's turn) Episode 2: Obi-wan (he's funny, handsome, creative, "I've got a bad feeling about this", and heroic) Episode 3: Darth Sidious (manipulator of the galaxy; badass which I said a lot to each character; he is literally the definition of evil and smart tbh; I would've chosen Anakin but he is Vader; I think Sidious is very cool though) Episode 4: Han Solo (smart? cool! greedo-ey hehe, and a badass tbh) Episode 5: Darth Vader (epic; my favorite character) Episode 6: Luke Skywalker (badass after getting his hand cut off; looks like he can do anything; was intimidating and fearless) Episode 7: Kylo Ren (badass; he chokes or kills people due to anger; he does have an interesting character background) Episode 8: Poe Dameron (best non-Jedi sequel character tbh) Episode 9: Rey (she is cool despite what people think of her and I liked that she did use lightning out of her hand lol)

They should reboot the sequels keeping kylo ren who initially isn't sure if he really wants to embrace the dark side, but later he becomes a real sith and keep Rey, but without her overpowered abilities: she gets destroyed in the first film by kylo and she escapes, she get teached for years by Luke, the first order controlls most of the galaxy, she returns and confronts kylo who acknowledged that she is the daughter of palpatine (but this time he is dead), so he tries to convert her into the dark side, they fight, kylo dies and at the end she doesn't say "Rey Skywalker" but "just Rey" or "Rey palatine" to clean the Palpatine's family reputation. With this we can make her a likeable character.
