I recently read the Out From Egypt Trilogy and surprisingly really loved it! Also my all time favorite christian fiction author is Ted Dekker! Skin is SO good not really christian content, where his Circle series is a LITERAL story of Christ. all the metaphorical stuff in the bible is taken so LITERAL. sin is LITERALLY a disease on the skin. Circle series is an ALL TIME FAVORITE!

I'm a Muslim who reads a lot of 'Muslim' fiction and I've found myself at the same conundrum. Is it Muslim fiction if the author is Muslim but there's no Muslim content in the story? Is it Muslim fiction if the characters are of a Muslim background but not religious? Is it Muslim fiction if there isn't any exploration of faith? And the real controversial one: what if the Muslim characters are unconventional (maybe they drink, smoke, are LGBT, etc)? It's not a clear cut thing and leads to a lot of discourse lol.

I’ll have to check out more of your channel I was trying to look on KZbin for more like Christian booktube. Doesn’t necessarily have to be the person reads only Christian books but one that reads or listens to some Christian books. Because I have a hard enough time finding Christian books to read. And then some are just cheesy. Like there are some Christian books like Christian romance books for example some of them are just flat out cheesy and not in a good way. So I don’t only read/listen to Christian books but I would like to get into more and I have a hard enough finding some that aren’t like cheesy. I have a few booktubers I follow don’t read Christian books there were a couple that did but those channels are no longer a thing like those people no longer do a book channel. But lately I’ve been wanting to get into more Christian books whether it’s Christian romance books or just a really good Christian book I am tired of the normal romance books either too steamy or it’s just not the type of book I wanna read. I still read regular romance books and other books but I really want a good you know clean Christian romance or any other type of book it’s just hard to find that nowadays. Cause any Christian romance book I found I’m like this person can’t be like a godly person because this does not make sense. So I’m really trying to find more Christian romance books that are just stupid and then regular you know Christian books are fine they don’t have to be romanced they could be mystery thriller but it’s just like hard to find those these days I have to dig really hard to find those. Like on prime reading or even a Scribd I have to dig to find them. It’s rare to find one that’s good I haven’t read one that I was thrilled with. So I’m hoping I can find more KZbinrs that read some Christian books maybe you’ll help me find new recommendations because I am want to read more of that or listen to it

It's incredible that Lord of the Rings was supposed to be a Christian book, in the manner of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, full of metaphors about heaven, hell, salvation and damnation, to make you think about the bible. What a super massive fail it was in its objectives, its more likely to turn someone into a witch than a Christian.

@@littlehousema7162 Haha. Why are Christians' responses to disagreements so darn predictable? I've read it all the way through twice, and it's ridiculous. A talking snake and donkey? People turning into salt. The entire book of Revelation. A bald guy calling down a curse to kill children with she bears. The sun stopping in the sky. These are all fantasy elements. There's even rape and dismemberment (Judges 19). Change the title to Game of Thrones, and nobody would think twice about the genre.
@littlehousema71623 жыл бұрын
@@strangementalitypaperYT From a secular standpoint, the Bible has been proven to be a historical book filled with nonfiction (true story) accounts from the past, with many stories that could be considered myth, rather than fantasy. I never claimed to be a Christian, that was you assuming and judging me of your own accord. I just remarked on the obvious. If you don't like the topic of Christian fiction, coming to someone's video and making a remark that has nothing to do with the video is immature, uncouth behavior.
@strangementalitypaperYT3 жыл бұрын
@@littlehousema7162 What history in The Bible has been proven by secularists? I know of zero claims The Bible makes that are true. There is no Garden of Eden. There was never a worldwide flood. No historical evidence of Jesus existed, and even Josephus's accounts are flawed. Did you ever think that spreading disinformation under the guise of religion is immature, uncouth behavior. What's funny to me is how so many people assume that those of us who disagree with Christian theology know nothing about it. I disagree with the Bible not because I haven't read it. I disagree with it because I have.
