To me, Haute is absolutely the craziest come up in the controller space recently, and have the potential to, not just blow apart the entire niche controller sector, but also potentially break into the mainstream peripheral market. Their offerings are so cheap, and their presence on Amazon, at least here in Canada, feels pretty groundbreaking.

@@woooyeahfunkytime4088 We just tell people to buy Haute boards now. @@danivalvalsson8174 I haven't looked into it personally, do Haute devices let you remap at the controller level, independent of the game? For those of us (like Krackatoa) that play in offline events that are often run on playstation, that's an important distinction.

I DIY'd a hitbox in my garage before all these cheaper options came about but what I did to find a good layout was print a bunch of templates and just mount them on some cardboard to get a feel for the different styles. I've been using the S16 for about a month now because I wanted the extra button for a better placement of Parry in SF6. It's not as comfortable as the snackbox micro(even as a smaller person), but it's easier to set the SOCD and you have the extra buttons. Only real downside to it I'd say is the standard buttons are really tall so it's not easy to slide across the keys which is important if you're doing 360 motions or certain shortcuts.

Wanted to chime in to be on the SFIV SE defense force. It was the fightstick that I bought where I learned how to play on fightstick for the first time back in 2012, and it's still my main stick currently. The times it wasn't was during SFV which I used a modded XB1 KI TE2 and Hori Rap4, and in S3 of T7 I got an Ettoki Omni and installed the Golden Lever and that's my main Tekken stick. But still to this day my SE is still my favorite. I like its form factor, it's a decent size and I like the slight dip where your wrists rest. Wasn't much of a fan of the TE2, and definitely am not fond of the Rap4 (quality parts but I just didn't like the form factor and the Noir layout). I do love the Omni a ton though. However, I will say that maintaining the internals of the SE is a huge pain in the butt, so at the very least I will say there is valid criticism with that. It's bad enough to the point where I would agree on not recommending it for that reason. So many fightsticks have gotten better with making accessing and maintaining the internals much, much easier.
