When my beard was shorter a heated brush worked pretty well, but a longer beard my blow dryer just works better, straightens without that unnatural look of the heated brush. If I go back to a shorter beard, I'll upgrade to the Aberlite Pro. Looks like they really thought it through. Great informative video.

I did have mine stop heating up after a week of use, but a replacement was quickly sent - great customer service. My only complaint is the location of the power/temp control button. I am constantly hitting the button and changing my temp. It would be great if they could either move the button or have a way to lock in the temp so accidental clicks dont change the temp. Other than that, i love the device!

Just curious, what is the difference between this one and the Rechidi, you did a video on 3 years ago? You said you still prefer the blow dryer better than the brush, back then, but now you say you don't go one day without using this brush. Not being sarcastic, really wanted to know what changed for you, cause I use a blow dryer, but the ease of a brush seems like a good switch. My beard is about to my 4" right now and I plan on letting it continue. If it was only 30 -40 bucks, I might just be trying it out, but right now at 120.00 want to be a little more reassured.
@DanCBearded
@DanCBearded Жыл бұрын
Heh man, thanks for the questions. Happy to answer! If I had to pick, I would still take the blowdryer over a heated brush. However, what has changed is I use both every single day. In the method shown in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmebaH-rndaSnKs The main difference is I found spots (mustache, sideburns, and below my bottom lip) that are perfect for the heated brush. The difference I have experienced with the aberlite pro compared to all of the others is longevity. I’m still using my same one from like 2.5 years ago. The teeth are spaced perfectly. It works and works quickly.

@@DanCBearded Dan, I've seen your response on another comment in the recent past about how Ronnie from Magnanimous Beard Products speaks about other companies or products and you rather not do a review on his company's products. I get it. But please don't mind me asking...did you ever try Magnanimous beard butter and oil? My beard has never been softer using the unscented butter in the morning after a shower and unscented oil at night after dampening (or vice versa). I also bought Aegean (Tobacco/Redwood) oil scent from him but unfortunately it has a bad chemical / perfume smell to it. I won't use it again. It may not be with all of his oils but I won't take a chance purchasing any of them with a scent. Unless you or someone else raves heavily about one of the other scents . I do love the unscented oil and butter and definitely will buy more. The only other time I have smelled that bad chemical / perfume smell from an oil was with one of the Beard Baron oils. And I have tried 2 other oils with beard baron and they did not have the bad chemical / perfume smell. Anyway it's definitely worth giving the unscented butter and oil a try. If you ever do a review, please make sure you include the unscented butter and oil, You may only recommend those.. Any other butter I have tried, I can barely run my fingers through my beard in the morning but with this butter my fingers glide right through. Also I and others would love your opinion. Thanks Dan.

Does anyone know the difference between the pro and the edc?
@DanCBearded
@DanCBearded Жыл бұрын
Pretty much everything. Aberlite made and designed the pro, but did not on the edc. The pro is just better in every way. From quality, to heating up time, to the spacing of the teeth, and temperature controls

I have the aberlite edc. My only complaint is I wish it had a 340 degree setting. 320 doesn’t feel hot enough and 360 is a little too much. I feel they missed the sweet spot but got close above and below it.

They for sure listened to feedback like that. The pro came out after the EDC and it has 340 🤝

Dan C- I bought the Aberlite Pro on your recommendation over a year ago and it is fantastic. I also use a blow drier, depending on my beard length and how straight I want my beard. If I am in a rush, the Aberlite Pro is faster. An unexpected advantage- Some mornings, I can’t use a blow drier because others are light sleepers. It is well constructed, and I agree with you. The swivel cord is great.

Discount code didn't work, and the beard straightener is $120, not $99

I have a long thick beard. I use my heated brush on the whole thing. The teeth on that one are too short for a very big beard. The one I have has longer teeth.

Hehe, not most advanced tool. Quite sure if you tested some really cheap ones, they straighten hear 😂 It's a brush with some heat, cheapest ones also have ceramic and heat adjustable, simple old heat design, no advanced chip or prosessor inside expensive model's. But as more we pay for it, it feels good. Same with everything 🙂
