THE BEST CORRIN PLAYER WON A MAJOR?! (Cirque 3 Reaction)

In Orlando, Florida, Cirque 3 took place with many top players in attendance, including Miya, ApolloKage, Zomba, Dabuz, MuteAce, and more. But amongst all these top talents, there would be one winner that we thought we'd never see: The BEST solo Corrin main in the US (and possibly world), Shadic. Here is my reaction and analysis of his Grand Finals set against MuteAce's Peach.

I think that's misleading cause SHADIC is the one who sent Miya to loser in the first place. Not to discredit Peabnut. He has an Amazing run. But let say Peabnut didn't beat Miya. SHADIC would probably still in Grand. Only instead of MUTEACE. He's Fighting Miya instead.

6:45 so what a lot of people don't know is that both pin and neutral B projectile have the lowest priority in the game and will ALWAYS clack with another hitboxs so stuff like parasail can make it even more difficult to time a 2 frame NOTE since the hitbox of moves deactivate when grabbing ledge you can still 2 frame stuff like firefox

This is correct, it saves you 1 frame (at a minimum) of turnaround animation. You go from crouching to instant turnaround dtilt.

yeah it's an option select, you hold down back and then react to either press A (turnaround dtilt) or c-stick dtilt (no turnaround)

Yeah reverse downtilt with down and back + A is same frame data as a regular down tilt. You can do the same thing with up & back + A for reverse uptilt, and crouching is not required. It's just good for low profiling while still having access to grounded normals. Not an option select because that is pressing the same input and getting a different output (think upb/tech option select)

I think corrin has more playmaking ability than one would think it just shadic plays a less aggressive style compared to someone like neo with more kills coming from setting up pin and aerials than call outs and the whatnot

11:47 on a ledge with not full shield you're kinda just fucked best bet is to let go and SDI up and mash airdodge and pray you pop out. Normally you can just shield DI away and eventually roll. Characters with super good rolls can roll in after 11 frames but most characters will still get caught.

She was hated on so much since smash 4 and even 4 years into ultimate lifespan. The CORRIN hate only stopped in 2022 when Leo popped off with her for the first time

Maybe because you identify as Corrin that you have some unusual relationship with the character therefore even the slightest criticism of her is viewed as hate. Corrin for the most part isn't a hated character, usually the few who hate on Corrin are the minority and get laughed at for doing so.

@@dripfoe_3307 Tbf a lot of her hate comes from her inclusion. That impacts her a lot when ultimate comes out and she got nerfed to the ground. That and the hate on her character pretty much is one of the major reasons nobody (except SHADIC and Cosmos) play her in early Ult. If you look at Cosmos vs Dabuz in 2019 when Cosmos won the match after swapping Inkling with Corrin, that was the first historic win for Corrin in early Ult. She became a lot better with buffs in 8.00 patch and more people recognized her strengths and how good the character since the buffs. In terms of being a tournament-play character, I doubt there’s gonna be hate but even if there is, I would laugh at them for hating on Corrin cuz they all downplaying Corrin for years when we all told them she is busted

Mute had the way harder MUs and path to victory in this tournament with a character that nobody can utilize [outside of Umeki] at this level of success, so in my opinion he gets the props more than Shadic, as Corrin has been extremely strong since the buffs.
