other than 3x3 4x4 and up its really just a no brainer for someone who wants to start speed solving bigger cubes after you get super fast though for 4x4 5x5 and 7x7 there are better options but they cost more

Surprising how Qiyi/X-man has so many fewer cubes on this list compared to a couple years back. In 2018 they were mentioned for every puzzle except 3x3. They still have some really solid cubes but it's great to see other brands improving as well and giving us more options for side events and big cubes.

for 5x5 i prefer the wrm, 6x6 i favor the shadow v2 and 7x7 the spark, for backup mains is hands down mgc line

I remember using the old YJ megaminx 5 years ago and finding it so dull drudging around all the pieces to do a megaminx solve so I actually gave it away. I recently picked up Dayan megaminx (I find the ones with heavier ridges ugly, shallow I know) just to try out what a new one was like and WOW I actually like megaminx now! I also picked up the YJ MGC 6x6 because I always wanted to love 6x6 buut the shengshou one I had just turned so horribly and I am in LOVE, deffinitly in my top 3 puzzles, right behind 4x4... speaking of, I might need a new 4x4 now since my 6x6 turns better than it!

I feel like for honorable mention for 3x3, I would replace the tornado for the mgc evo. For the same price, Yoo get better corner cutting, adjustable magnets with more options for strength, and the tensioning can go clockwise and counterclockwise. Just an amazing cube and it really shows when you lube it. It’s suuuper fast so I used weight 6 and more control lubes on it. Banger vid tho!!!

Corner cutting is very true, but tornado gets a dual adjustment system along with adjustable magnets, just allowing the cube to be recommended to a lot more people, so I think it’s the better choice
