Mielle custurd works well for definition and moisture but has like no hold! At least for tighter textures.

Hey Lovely, you have more shrinkage on the Mielle side of your hair because the curl definition was more intense. The As I Am side appeared not as defined and was a tad bit frizzy. Thanks for sharing your review and demo of both products. 🙌

I picked up a trial size packet of the Mielle custard and I loved it! I got super definition, shine, and just the right amount of hold-them coils popped instantly. The scent is lite and fruity-not overpowering! The only problem I ran into was I did have some build up once it dries but I think it’s because of the leave-in I used-shea moisture, was to heavy and didn’t mesh well together. Other than that, I loved it-the best custard I’ve tried and I’ll definitely use this again along with the leave-in! Love it on my fine strands!!

I just picked up the mielle jelly. I’ve used as i am in the past but for some reason my hair wasn’t as defined so hopefully I get more definition without the excessive crunch with gel. Thanks for the info 😊

When you coil with one hand it’s in your curl direction. The other goes against the curl direction.

Mary great video..The Mielle side curls were pooping. Both side look really good. Me personally I would take the curl definition any day over shrinkage. Love the lip color your makeup is always on point.

Yes the Mielle won all the way. Your curls were more defined and juice, and as that side gets older the curls will still hold. I have similar hair texture as you and when I use products that give me bomb curls and more shrinkage my style last longer.

I used as I am double butter cream and the curling jelly yesterday, it was gives me good results. I do have mielle organics at home but only the pomegranate leave in and twisting soufflé. I do love it but haven’t used this for ages. NOW I NEED THE CUSTARD this week! I trust you since you brought Camille Rose into my life!

Mielle surely won, but I will say, I’m a 3c and I would’ve used more product than you did on the as I am side. I think if you had been more heavy handed with as I am you would’ve gotten mire definition. Either way, you look 👍 great

It's possible you're right but the consistency and slip of the product was more apparent by how it felt than how it looked on camera- there definitely was a good amount on my hair, even though you couldn't see it that abundantly. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for posting! You and I seem to have the same texture. The ends are curly, my roots always become afro-esque I would say that I have 4c in the middle and a mix of 4a/4b everywhere except the left front it is 3 something 😕. Thanks for showing me what my wash n go could be. 😁. Both sides look great by the way.

It looked the same to me 😅 but if I had to choose more definition/shrinkage vs less shrinkage/definition....I would personally go with less shrinkage so As I Am wld b the winner for me...but like I said I couldn't tell the difference with the finish results so both were good in my eyes 🙂 awesome review! Question did you wash your hands before using the mielle product to get a fair review on "stickiness" of that product?
