I have to say, of all the riding I've done in Europe, Cote d'Azur is super good! I found being based in Vence really helps with the traffic situation.
@thebikerei2 жыл бұрын
Vence for me is also the perfect Spot to Start. Have you been there later in the year? How is the traffic once climbed the colle de vence? Been there 2 weeks ago and it was empty...

I have lived in France for the past 3 years now but with a young family, business and Covid I haven’t been able to see many parts of France for cycling, was never really interested in Nice before but David has changed my mind and I really want to go now.

That is beautiful, I hope to get there one day.You are so lucky to ride with the pros,I guess they have the money to live in such a place. We are on the tail of summer here in New Zealand but expecting 25C today in Levin.

Very good video and scenes. Very convincing arguments but Spain has become more popular. I would argue because I live in Spain and i see many training groups especially in Calpe (Spain). Spain is safer for cyclist, more coffee shops, less traffic, cheaper for food/hotels. Another cycling bucket list.

Awesome video as always David! I live in the middle of America so we don't have anything like this in terms of road riding. We are very fortunate to have some incredible gravel in basically all directions though! Btw, what are those shades?!
@miam4u6 ай бұрын
100 Km from Nice you have the tour of Col D'Allos, Col de la Cayolle and Col De Champs, all over 2000m. Or Chris F used to do Col de la Bonette, Col de Larche and Col de Lombardy. These roads are all quiet (except Col de Larche)

Flipping heck, that looks a bit lush !!! As for climbing, I'm lucky to get over 1000 feet in 40 odd miles around Peterborough UK !!! Strong winds all year round though especially in the fens...As for Nice, I'd be running a massive range cassette on those hills.....What are hills ?

David! Thank you for this. I'm locating from the US to the UK in a month. How often would you say you hop across to Europe to ride your bike in these beautiful riding havens in Europe?
@davidarthur2 жыл бұрын
Before Covid loads because traveling was easy. It’s a 1:40hr flight to Nice from Heathrow or driving through the tunnel to Belgium and France, easy if you live in the south east

IG rider must have been ritchie porte - based in Monaco. best climb in those parts IMHO is the Madone D'Utelle - so little traffic. Magic climb.

Given the sleeve of the INEOS rider as well as the build, I think that was Viviani.
