THE BEST DARK RIDE IN THE WORLD?!| Efteling Vlog 2023

In this vlog we visit Efteling for the first ever time! We try all of the major rides & attractions including Symbolica, Baron 1898, The Fairytale Forest & much more! On ride filming is permitted at Efteling and was filmed safely on our Insta 360 chest mount camera.

if they always stick to the medieval/fairytale theme at EFTELING..... and nature..... then this place will always be lovely....... do not let the 21st century and different time era.s appear here..... then it will lose its magic and end up just being like disneyland...... disneyland has not got the magic of EFTELING...... because what the people want is that lovely medieval theme fairytale land and lovely nature..... that makes a lovely kingdom.

It’s not all medieval though. Baron 1898 for example is set in… well… 1898. And Raveleijn, even though it takes place in a medieval city, is actually set in 2011, but in an alternate reality.

@@EftelQuint well, yes.... why is there a need for a alternative reality.??.....i mean.. its going into the realms of sci-fi..like the matrix...... i know the animatronic scene of the poor homeless girl selling or trying to sell matches is based in the 1700's but it looks good..... well... dutch and german fairytales i think most were based on the 1700's......written by hans christian anderson...... but yeah...it just keep to the past... not the now or the future...... or well anything i think later than the 1700's -theme....i mean just think if they put a 1950's rock n'roll theme ride in Efteling.... and its blaring out elvis presley and buddy holly songs...i think it will take away from the magic of the place.......am i wrong.?..... maybe people may want more random themes there......maybe.???

@@brianohanlon5061 There you do have a point, though Hans Christian Andersen is Danish. Many of the actual Dutch and German fairytales have no specific author, but most of them were collected by the Grimm brothers and written in their book ‘Kinder und Hausmärchen’.

@@brianohanlon5061I do think you should maybe draw your line a bit later, because the Efteling still has quite an amount of attractions set in time periods after 1800 which still have amazing theming that fits with the park. Examples are Baron, which I mentioned earlier, the pedal trains and De oude Tuffer (though they’re very lightly themed) and The people of Laaf, which is set in the present, though the Laafs are (by their own choice) more primitive creatures.

well, yes.... i checked on when most of the fairytale storys shown at the park are from ... a danish man called ..hans christian anderson ... who was living in the 1800's... the time-perion of when the penny farthing bike and punch and judy came on the scene... and the dress was like the classic xmas card scenes...... so ..yes.... they all came from that period... but long neck the way he is dressed looks more medieval..... so yes..... the 1700' and 1800's are the years when hansel and gretal...snow white ... little red riding hood and cinderella came from.
