(Designated few people can use these quotas to get a job without giving exams. Quotas were for the disabled/women/tribal/the grandchildren of freedom fighters etc). But the problem was that the quotas were above 50%, (including more than 20% for the grandchildren of freedom fighters), which is pretty unfair for the students who's worked hard all these years. So the students started protesting to reduce the percentage of quotas. And the government murdered about 200-300 innocent students who had protested against the quota system. At the end, 2-3 days ago the government changed the quota system, but now they're arresting all the students who had protested in the streets to punish them. It's really messed up there.
