Good job Josh .. 2 things - IPOH is pronounced as EPOH not with the sound I. secondly, you can also take a ferry/boat from Penang straight to Langkawi another beautiful Malaysian island and from Langkawi you can take the ferry/boat to Satun in Thailand or you can take the ferry from Langkawi to Kuala Kedah and/or Kuala Perlis...all beautiful northern parts of Malaysia. Good Luck..

Quite a lot has changed for KTM. I remember taking the Ekspres Rakyat which was terribly unreliable (4 hours late departure), slow, and not exactly comfortable even though it was ASC.

Kuala Lumpur I have to say has everything you need. Just like in other countries including the UK and USA. With Costa Coffee and Starbucks Coffee almost everywhere. Descent video as always. 😄

Absolutely love Penang! Chickened out and flew last time but this train does look good!

The thing to take away from this is how Malaysia's biodiversity has been destroyed by oil palm plantations that also poison and flood everything surrounding them.
@Jan.995 ай бұрын
During my previous visit to Penang, one had to pay for the ticket from Butterworth side and no need to pay from Penang side. Not sure if same continues anymore?
@hari_a_s5 ай бұрын
You probably bought a return ticket?

I'm confused as to why you didn't get lounge access. @ShevandDev did on the extact same train as you
@JoshGoesSlow Жыл бұрын
There was a sign saying the times of trains that had lounge access, my train for some reason wasn’t listed. I think most do get lounge access.
@cameronsam86416 ай бұрын
What does lounge access give other than a comfy looking chair? Beverages? Thanks. @@JoshGoesSlow

Hate to rain on your party, but, it's pronounced Ee-poh, not Ai-poh. Do check out the portion to Padang Besar.

One twenty ringgit ia so extremly expensive...if it one ringgit and twenty cent it is cheaper..please correct ur math dont do assumption..and dont spread false info..
@JoshGoesSlow Жыл бұрын
Sorry to offend. I wasn’t sure how to say it as the rest of the world one twenty means $1.20cents and one hundred and twenty, means $120. The guy who sold me the ticket clearly says one twenty (it’s shown in the video), so I repeated it the exact way he says it.

The original ferry have recently started again, putting a a stop to the temporary service using the awful Langkawi express. The new ferries carries both passengers and motorists to the island and vice versa and is so much more comfortable. I’ve recently just missed it myself and caught one of the last old ferries instead :(.
@motox19494 Жыл бұрын
Does that mean the langkawi express will go back to operating from penang to langkawi
