The last point is very real, I am looking at a metagame where at most I can play an Arishem deck, the rest I'm already missing more than one key card, and it is disheartening. Last evening I was considering not even logging in since the game isn't really fun anymore. Of course all subjective and everything. But seriously who would shout at you for providing meta decklists where they're missing cards. How is that your fault? People are weird.

I've said this on other videos but I'll say it again here: These are awesome even if I can't build everything. It's suuuuper important to be able to guess what people will be doing on turns4, 5, 6, and these videos help sus that out. Your point on the move list with heimdal is super real though, and honestly why it will take me a while to hit infi some months. I only have so much time to play, so if I get got by some random magneto in the move list then oops! guess I'm an idiot and won't be able to try again till tomorrow! Also, I can make a lot of these lists, but I think a video for people where you talk about substitutions might be cool. ie 3 drops for beef: Gladiator is good if you wanna do this, speed is good if you wanna do this, etc. and that way people can make informed decisions when new cards come out if they need it or if they want to skip because they can reasonably sub the card out. Not sure how deep that could go though, just kinda word spewin at this point

For those looking for replacement for Hydra Bob, I recommend Ice Man, especially in the Moon Knight list. It's another hand debuff while also creating a potential new target for moon knight. E.g. getting a 5-cost to 6. It also helps with Wiccan decks if you by chance delay them ;)

17k CL and been playing daily since global launch. Wild for me to see decks here where I am missing 3-4 cards. Don't have Bob, Maliketh, Wiccan, Anti-Venom, Ajax and many more. Don't worry though, I have a $30 bundle in my shop for Havok! Super frustrating but it is what it is. Thanks for the report and the lists I can cobble together.

Have you consider tweaking them? Some cards are irreplaceable but others can actually be pretty strong when replacing them with something “less optimal” due to the surprise factor

@ I knew someone would say something like this lol. The reason I cannot play the decks is because I do not have the core cards needed. I don’t even own black swan because she was a season pass card. No Madame web, Anti venom, surtur, Arishem, Fenris wolf, Wiccan etc. Any card you cannot replace in those decks, I do not own. I just recently got Red guardian because I save my keys for 6 weeks, 6 weeks dude just so that I can get the new cards 2 weeks in a row. I forfeited a full season of releases just for that.Acquisition in this game is trash for free to play players.

@ yeah I feel you there. I’m a season pass only player so I don’t think my key/token earnings are that might faster at all. Honestly, I think the advice of saving keys is a little overblown. It’s a tricky subject because if there’s something you really want coming up, then yeah saving is a good idea but saving also eliminates you from having a chance at something every week. I dunno. It’s hard to say what’s best. I roll one every week and save whatever is leftover (0.2 a week or something) and I think I do alright but ymmv

I found it fascinating to see like, three or four people retreating very quickly once they saw I was playing Move Bounce. This never happened before with any deck. I never liked the move archetype, but this is an actually fun deck, though you're right, it's hard to play and not always consistent: I lost at least three matches because I didn't get *any* of the move cards, or got them so late it didn't make any difference. Overall, I'm finding it a bit hard to land on a deck that's good and I enjoy. I was having tons of fun with AV Iron Man, it was the deck I had the most fun with for a long time now, buuut... it's not performing so well, so as much as I still enjoy it, it's frustrating to keep losing. Anyway, thanks once more for the breakdown and the insights! (And yeah, I agree with everyone else on how the card acquisition works in this game. It desperately needs to change.)

wow I tried to play move bounce since is one of the only decks I have completed and tursns that 4 out of 5 are playing killmonger for a reason. the left one was move scream.... so I stopped playing for a while due to frustration.

I've been playing since october 2022 and I bought every single season pass and every other good bundle, and I've been able to craft almost every meta deck until now. The meta decks are harder and harder to get even for an old player, I can't even imagine what's happening with new players. I'm this close to stop playing altogether because it's almost impossible to keep up with the new cards without spending money like I'm Elon Musk or Donald Trump's son. I really really hope card acquisition changes because I love the game but it's really frustrating to keep up with new cards.

Your outro just explained why this game keeps losing players… sigh. Three players in my community just quit the game and Deadpool’s Diner is more like the final straw. The main issue is still the card acquisition system. It makes players feel anxious about missing even one card. So, not knowing if they can get Eitri makes them nor want to spend so much time on DD. This ends up making them feel frustrated about missing Eitri, and some just lose interest in continuing the game.

so happy that they buffed Hydra Bob 2 hours before it wasn't available anymore and didn't rerun it since. so fucking awesome that this overstatted card is in almost every top deck and not available unless you spend 6k tokens. and especially great that bob still has those stats but silver sable was totally overpowered and needed to be nerfed. guess I'll just play other games. Marvel Snap clearly tells me I have to pay hundreds of dollars or get outclassed by players that did

Usually that is killmonger and replace other one drops for something else if there are any. There are a few decks dependant on one drops though and those are the ones that are trickier to replace but I think in like for example the moon girl deck Hydra Bob can be Ant-Man

just went from 85 to infinite today with a modified 'goonknight rises" don't have hydra or proxima, swapped in nico as per you, and gladiator for proxima... it gave a little less power from moon+prox combo, it was a bit clunky using gladiator... but... i did it! i had a 73% WR rocked my way up the ranks :)

I finished Diner with the Goon deck. Sooo many thanos/arishem. By turn 5 i was usually leaving my opponent with 1-2 cards stopping their draw going into turn 6 is soooo good!

Love this video! The more variety the better. Cards are so close in terms of power/cost in this game that you can truly succeed with anything if you have the heart of the cards. Marvel Snap has done a great job at that. But there is still a noticeable gap between the highest tier and say, budget high tier. Doesn't mean you can't win, just means that you will lose a bit more over time which is a big deal when it comes to the cube system.

AV Ronan is hit pretty hard by Enchantress and Rogue, but only Arishem is playing those. I replaced Hydra Bob with Ravonna, for that turn 6 iron man + mystique, very powerful. Man-Thing for Malekith. Speed for Red Guardian. It's rocking!

Goon knight isn’t hitting for me. After 3 hours, I’ve not once had Fenris Wolf go off, no joke. In fact, I played moon knight and then I activated wolf, in that order. Moon knight went off and discarded a card and wolf said ‘no target’. What am I missing?!?

If you all want an off-meta, fairly budget-friendly deck to play against this meta, Patriot Ultron with Wasp is a very sneaky one. And I emphasize Wasp because she serves multiple functions. She can absorb the Yondu and Gladiator shots instead of a more valuable card like Dazzler. She can be a Red Guardian sponge. And she is obviously a no-ability card for Patriot. Seriously, the deck is highly consistent and reliable.

The only time I've ever experienced pure gamer rage in this game is in Deadpool's Diner. I never even get this mad making dumb mistakes and Losing 8 cubes in ladder. Losing feels TERRIBLE because all I want to do is finish the reward track and get back to ladder.
