Am I right to see the price is $4,800? You do know that the Amazon heaters are less than $200 each?

Yup, that's correct. It's up there. And yes, I am aware of all the options. We test and outfit all sorts of product ranges. Amazon heaters are cheap, but from what we've seen, hit or miss. Price ranges for premium heaters range from $1500-5000. There could be others that are even more expensive for larger applications. The two main factors that drive the cost here - small company with lower margins, and the individual components are also on the higher side.

@@TrailCoMedia Many people just install one heater. But you can install two, which not only could give you more heat, but also could help prevent a total breakdown -- if one breaks, you still have another one. You charge so much for just one heater. I can guarantee you that you won't be successful, at least won't be as successful as the Amazon ones.

@@liedebunker1253 You definitely could run two. But that's a hassle. Who wants to waste space carrying two diesel heaters with limited space? Lol. I get your point, but many people want something that is effortless to set up and operate. Having a back up heater is a bit too redundant. To clarify, I am not the owner of the company, so pricing it out of my hands. Will it sell fewer units then a China heater on Amazon? For sure. Amazon is a powerhouse for moving Chinese products. I'm sure the owners understand that the volume won't be the same. You could compare a Honda to a Ferrari in the same sense. On a final note, campers run 10-30k+. People who are dedicated to the lifestyle are willing to commit good money for high-quality, functional products. To take it to the ultimate level, look at EarthRoamer and TruckHouse. They sell truck units for over 250k... and they're still able to stay in business. The real question is... Do you want to sell a product with a larger net profit or a smaller one? I would argue that it's easier to sell less people on a more expensive product. Both approaches are valid though. Just a thought!

@@TrailCoMedia There is no hassle at all. Usually if there is space for one, there is space for two. They are not big in size. Look at the heater you're talking about -- it's out there. It's so bulky on the vehicle. How many holes do you have to drill in the vehicle? And you claim it's "effortless to set up and operate"? If it's so convincing, why don't I see any camper vans carrying your kind of heaters? Yours is the only one. I also see on the body of the heater it says, "DANGER HOT" -- why do you leave the heat outside if you want to heat up the vehicle inside? There is no such a danger with the Amazon heaters, and all the heat would be kept in the vehicle. You're doing the video just because you've been paid to sell it. It doesn't mean people like it.

@@liedebunker1253 You're welcome to have your opinions. Carrying two of something is a hassle whether you like it or not. Are you going to carry backups for everything? Just because the alternative is more expensive? Yes, it sticks off the vehicle, but I haven't had any issues and choose my lines carefully. Setting up and operating is different than installing. If you can use a hole saw and a tape measure, the installation is forgiving. And if you're not confident, take it to a shop. You don't see them everywhere because it is a newer product and has gone through lots of revisions. There are several out in the wild, but this is still a small business. Glad to see you talking down on American business attempts while glorifying Chinese junk that may or may not work each time. I think you missed a core part in terms of the "danger hot" sticker. That's the exhaust hole. Should they port the exhaust inside so you can die in your sleep? Come on. You can't run the Amazon heater inside either. It also has an exhaust to vent toxic fumes away. Regardless if I'm paid to do something (which I wasn't here - we often help with final testing, fitment, R&D, etc.) I can't just give everything a raving review if it sucks. There's no trust in the end user if I recommend something bad. And I literally started the video by talking about the price... Also, don't pretend like you don't like it, or it isn't cool. Just say that you can't, or don't want to afford it. There's nothing lame about this product. Be honest with yourself. Final note. All your favorite content creators are paid. By YT, or by some brand relationship. They still have a choice to discuss things openly and honestly. Seems like you just wanted to argue with someone online...
