Some of the comments are acting like a little bit of glue residue is the end of the world. If you have a problem with the craft just go buy one of the over priced ones! It’s not like glue residue is ruining the craft. Sheesh

Um...this looks like building a prototype for something that will need to be manufactured in order to be serviceable for more than a day or two. Those flimsy hinges are going to pop off, and those very thinly glued edges are going to give way under any real pressure. It would make far more sense to buy something like this already well-manufactured and use crafting skills and that glue gun to make something that won't be under wear-and-tear, such as as decorated pages for a scrapbook or photo album, or cute mats for framed pet photos. I can even see using this technique to make a funny Dr Seuss style tower of faux wrapped presents for a table display during the holidays, but if she's going to put anything heavier than marshmallows in that thing, it's going to fall apart quickly.

The idea itself is nice but I am sorry all of the glue residue that is left on the fabric does will not look good and you can not do something about it since the box its made out of cardboard.

OR..... You could buy a caboodle (or other such item) from Goodwill, a rummage sale, Letgo, or even Walmart and spend the rest of the time doing something crazy like reading a book, volunteering your time, crochet/knit hats and blankets to donate!

I have no idea how you are able to use hot glue with fabric Every time I used it would make these ugly white patches coming through the material that would anoy me when it showed through I tried a numerous amount of other glues and they did the same while others would not stick at all
