It'd be cool if stats are different depending on the breed. Like, a Greyhound could have really high speeds- yet medium stamina, and low attack. Whereas a german shepherd could have low speeds, medium stamina, and high attack ( for example ). This would make things like pvp pretty interesting !

Actually, German shepherds have moderate speed they can get up to 30-40 mph deppending on dog and conformation as well as fitness While dogs such as great Dane, and larger breeds tend to be slower although not much slower small dogs tend to be high speed, sight hounds such as greyhound, saluki, and whippet all are actually on the smaller side

Looking great! I'm SO excited for this game. So many customization options and the morphs are eye candy. Answer to the question: Definitely more excited for the great Dane personally :) Miscellaneous: The feral collar in the list (not saying because I want to leave it a mystery for those who haven't found it yet) is really cool. It's also realistic enough for the type of game they're going for, and I think they came up with something really smart, since feral dogs don't have harnesses and things like that because they aren't domesticated, yet it still provides a customization option for those with the gamepass- very thoughtful. I feel like they're going out of their way to consider customization- even with the name tags, which I haven't seen any rp game that has that. The morphs, again, are so detailed and beautiful! From every single tuft of fur, they look perfect.

I was hoping the developers would put in the old versions of the dogs, like instead of a pug it would be a “Retro” pug, the original version of pugs. But I still think they made the right decision when deciding not to put them in. Can’t wait to play it!

I was about to post this - the original, healthy versions of these breeds would be fantastic to include and would help raise awareness! Retro pugs are making a comeback and people are working towards corrective breeding to lengthen the snout and correct proportions.

@@AhauLobo They have brachy breeds already in the game though, Rottweilers are scientifically classified as brachy by all dog registries. So are Saint Bernards, Boxers for example. The health issues you mention are actually done by back yard breeders breeding unhealthy dogs, there are peer reviewed scientific studies now available to the public proving this. But as you said, this is their game and that is also completely okay for them to make it how they'd like but the reasoning is misinformation. If you went by that reason alone then the dachshund and many other breeds wouldn't be there either even the german shepherd dog due to their plethora of health issues also caused by back yard breeding. Golden retrievers also being nicknamed the "cancer retriever" and many other breeds like even the siberian husky who due to bad breeding practices are now prone heavily to epilepsy. Dobermans also have an immense amount of health issues for the same reason ranging from cancer, brain tumors, to skin sensitivities. Great danes actually live past 10 years old if they're bred properly, all of the many many health issues in great danes are because of bad and back yard breeders. I don't agree with all the decisions in purebred dogs however but when there's proven scientific proof now available I try to help give light to that as I was someone who once 100% thought the same way. Purebred dog world is extremely unorganized and honestly needs a huge overhaul to promote what we should be seeing and IT IS shifting finally, thankfully but still very slowly. The English Bulldog is a prime example as now people are not be rewarded for breeding them improperly when they were never meant to end up as the media portrays and how some are very badly bred. The ethical/reputable breeders who also practice proper husbandry who breed this way seem to be more and more of a minority however as backyard breeders are over abundant now and are smothering those who actually care about their breeds out which is why everyone is now seeing an immense flood of poorly bred breeds, when in actuality it isn't the actual breed it's the people breeding them. We don't have health tests and genetic markers for everything but the science for it is getting better and better so we can see what colors affect health vs those who do not. Like merle for example. It's not as horrific as most portray it as, it's simply bad breeders not researching what they have OR simply not caring and that's how we end up with dogs and their families who get attached to them and adore them suffering for a buck and that's what I don't like at all. This game looks like it would be really cool and shows and immense amount of promise but I recommend attending multiple dog shows (they're normally free to attend, maybe a parking fee at the location if at a venue/arena) to gather proper information because you can speak to numerous people at the shows that have specific breeds so you don't get just one opinion for example. After I began attending the shows I found out a lot of information I had always been told was simply not true and there was proven science to now back it up where years ago there wasn't for example. I hope this doesn't come off angry or in the wrong way because I absolutely, genuinely do not intend for it to, I just remember being so deeply passionate when I was younger about dogs and I still am and I'm not out to change anyone's mind just simply put out there that we have a vast amount of knowledge now that we didn't have 20 years ago so that people can make their own assessment. I just wish when I was younger I had been able to have all resources put on the table to see for myself vs listening to either side constantly argue if that makes any sense. Bad Breeding and Improper Animal Husbandry are what cause our dogs suffering all around and us ourselves immense emotional turmoil and pain once we have to deal with those health concerns that could be prevented from being an ethical and reputable breeder. NOT everything can be tested for of course and not everything is genetic of course and purebreds aren't the only perfect dog out there. All dogs are good dogs until they're simply not to those who have them and temperament is also something that is genetic and also becoming a huge concern in breeds that aren't thought of nor meant to be aggressive like sight hounds for example. Hunting dogs meant to work together whether it's by scent or sight can't really work together if they're to hellbent on attacking the other dogs regardless of their training for example. Regardless of the outcome I'm excited to see this game prosper and it looks great!

Brachycephalic dogs would include pug, Boston terrier, chihuahua, shih tzu, English bulldog, Lhasa apso, Pekingese, papillon, boxer, Tibetan Spaniel, cavalier Charles king spaniel, shar pei, Japanese chin, bull mastiff, Brussels griffon, French mastiff, Thai ridgeback, Pomeranian, affenpinscher, Australian silky terrier, Tibetan terrier English toy spaniel and more. That’s a lot of breeds to exclude because of having a shorter skull.

This game seems like a real banger! I am so excited about the customisations and different breeds. My personal favorite part of role play games is the customisations and uniqueness of each player. I'd be so happy if the added chiweenies to the game too.(since they don't have major health issues I'm sure it's a possibility) I would be able to recreate my beloved Prince! This game seems so wonderful and I'm so excited for what's next.

they should add agility courses and showing places for show dog rps! I would also love to see dog tricks or rp modes. So for agility rp's you have a skill level, and for guard dog rp's you have a attack level. The coding/scripting for that would have to be hard tho. I would also love to see disabilities like how some dogs need wheels for legs. Maybe even a service dog system.

If they are not making "unethically" bred breeds like pugs because they are brachycephalic... why are boxers looking like they're being made/planned? Boxers are considered to be brachycephalic. I can understand why they wouldn't do breeds like pugs, but it makes no sense to say "I'm not making brachycephalic breeds" and then showcase a boxer in the breed selection.

Hey! I’m super excited for this game! When I started playing warrior cats I loved it even tho I’m allergic to cats but I read the books and loved it! I always loved dogs so I searched up dog games I couldn’t find any tho! I found another series by the same author of warrior cats (Erin Hunter) and it’s about dogs! If you would like to read this this is called survivors! And if you have time , adding a Australian Shepard, border collie,and goldendoodle it would make me really happy!

For everyone who is against pugs and other brachy breeds being added and calling it "unethical" then proceed to want mixed breeds added into the game? 😂😂 Seriously need to understand the definition of unethical and ethical in dog breeding terms. Mixed dog breeds are BACKYARD BRED and most of "unhealthy" pugs you see are also BACKYARD BRED. Its an uneducated opinion. Flat faced dog breeds CAN be healthy if ETHICALLY bred. Key word is ETHICAL and UNETHICAL... There is too many backyard breeders and you are seeing bad examples and this is just giving the breed a bad name. @Bonnie The Service Pit very true, you can't just ban all breeds that class as a Brachycephalic dog breed. There is a program called BWG which is Brachycephalic working group, is made to help and improve the welfare for these dogs. They did mention all the other breeds like Shih Tzu, Pekingese and Boxer but a lot of the Brachycephalic breeds have so many health issues. If we can somehow educate people on how to get a good health dog and stop the terrible breeding would be great for these dogs. I'll quote what they said "In recent years, the popularity of some brachycephalic breeds has risen hugely in the UK, to the point where the high demand for some brachycephalic breeds has imposed further welfare problems around poor quality breeding practices and both legal and illegal importation of puppies to supply a booming UK market for these dogs. Realisation by owners of the reality of owning one of these breeds, along with waning novelty value often means that these dogs are relinquished to recue centres which further fuels a growing welfare concern." Basically, there's still legal ways if getting an unhealthy bred dog and it's gotta change.

Please do research on ethical breeding versus byb!! I respect your opinion but the breeding of brachy breeds CAN be done ethically as real, ethical breeders do major amounts of health testing and ensuring the structure of their dogs are sound before breeding them. I’ve met a few ethically bred brachy breeds, and they breathed and functioned just as any other ethically bred dog would. I am not denying that brachy breeding can be problematic though! Backyard breeding is a huge issue with these types of breeds, their breeders are only in it for money and will breed unproven, unsound (both structure, health, and mental wise) dogs together just to get popular out of standard colors or hair lengths (merle and fluffy frenchies are a good example). These dogs are ones who typically have severe health issues which includes their difficulty with breathing. If you look into those research articles that calls the breeding of brachy dogs cruel, you’ll likely realize that these people looked and studied byb brachy breeds instead of ethically bred ones. Thus, the research they did is very biased (even unintentionally) and unreliable as you cannot compare the soundness of a ethically bred brachy breed to an unethically byb brachy breed and say that they are the same. Ethical breeding conforms to a standard, and while standards are not always perfect, they ensure that the dogs are sound enough to be able to exist. Also please realize brachy means that the dog has a relatively broad, short skull that is around 80% of the length. Only equating them to the dogs that have a “squashed” face as one would say is incorrect and harmful. Rottweilers, Yorkshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Finnish Lapphunds, and Pomeranians are all examples of brachy breeds!! And I’ve personally met several ethically bred French Bulldogs and Pugs that are very sound and healthy. I attend Fastcat events regularly and there are these pair of Frenchies that do the run SEVERAL times and never have had any issues with their breathing. In fact, they usually try to drag their handler back to the run so that they can go again, they love it. I am not saying that unethical breeding doesn’t exist and that standards are perfect, but saying that ALL breeding of brachy breeds is cruel and inhumane is just not correct as it can and has been done ethically. If these ethically bred dogs were truly unfit to live due to their structure, they wouldn’t have, in many cases, existed for thousands upon thousands of years now. :)

This game could be a great opportunity to show kids the cruel side of selective breeding of dogs and educate them on why they should settle for shelter ones instead of ones from breeders. Those dogs don't have to be in the game (and I respect their choice) but they can still be learned about. maybe little hints left on newspapers around the streets of a the suburbs or on city bill boards.

Brachy dogs can be ethically bred. Unethical (backyard) breeders ruined those breeds. Information about ethical dog breeding has become my passion, and i'd gladly take the time to educate on how breeders can ethically breed brachy breeds.

Yes, I had a pug a few years ago. She lived really shortly because of breathing issues, but I had to rescue her since nobody in the shelter wanted her and she was abused. I feel sad when I see them too.

The style reminds me of Warrior cats UE on roblox, Ae they the same developers?Also I used to play dog days and the old old old warrior cats game made by Zoo Veteranarian(the name of the developer!)so seeing how far roblox has come in terms of models and things like that is really nice
