I have a few questions regarding the artifacts. Many players such as myself either don't have the money, or don't want to spend the money to get artifacts up to rank 160. So I was wondering what rank you would *recommend* I have certain artifacts at for it to still be viable. I would first like to say that I am a precision dps as well as a healer. As I understand it, the artifacts I should be running for prec are: -Venom Wrist Dispenser -Legionnaire Sparring Ai -Eye of Gemini or Demon Fang And for healer: -Orb of Arion (though I've seen some running eye of gemini) -Soul Cloak (I'm electric) -Demon Fang In terms of healer, at the moment I have the Orb of Arion up to 80, which summons the spectral acolyte for 6 seconds, which allows it time for 4 total heals for 50% of my priority heal. My main issue is that, good trolls are extremely hard to come by in high tier content if you're solo like me and always end up with pugs. They either are spec'd wrong or trying to use a dps rotation with a power heal that they only pop occasionally. So yeah, my priority heal will heal the crap out of a team member, but the additional power cost will leave me struggling to keep up with additional damage being done to the rest of the group now that half my power bar is gone and 9 times out of 10 the dps have blocking allergies. So to avoid this, could I switch out the orb, or would you recommend keeping it, but trying to rank it up more? Same for the eye of gemini which I currently have at 80 as well, should I try to get it up for the 2% SC regen? Thanks for your time. And great guide as always! :)

Thanks for the comment. I certainly understand your situation and you are certainly not alone, when I make videos like this I run with the assumption that players will actively work for 160 levels which is why I refer to them as "best" as in best potential for your damage but not every player is going to do that or want to do that which is perfectly fine. In your case I would certainly ask if you tend to find yourself healing more or dpsing more in content. Alot of these artifacts will still be great at 120 which is much easier to achieve. In terms of DPS don't worry about the gemini for awhile because even at 120 unless you were dpsing right on top of multiple dps the 3s you have for the dmg window is really small and hard to account for alot of dmg. You'd have to drop a supply then hit your supercharge and hope other players run to the supply or already dps in it. So as your precision get the Venom Wrist-Sparring AI-Demon fang to 120. Just hold onto nth metal and wait for a double weekend etc to start to level up the gemini, those 3 (wrist,fang,AI) will be perfectly fine for your prec dps at 120. In terms of healing I would personally get the Orb to 120 as well, I have the orb at 120 and have seen amazing heals with it, even with my much lower resto stats because of my subpar gear and augments for healer. The demon fang you would already have at 120 etc from your dps side to help with power regen. I would also recommend use Dual Wield instead of handblasters for Healer (if you aren't using DW already) this will help with your demon fang power procs. In terms of your 3rd artifact for healer you can keep the soul cloak but put all your new nth metal into the gemini and then eventually when that becomes 120+ switch that onto your healer build to help even a little bit for the groups SC regen. I have one question though: when you say use dual wield are you referring to the DW flurry shot wm, or just the usual weapon taps for superpowered spec? I've also heard that the dual wield flurry shot is best for sc regen, I've just never wanted to use it because of the additional skill points it would require. With my sp being as low as it is I feel I would lose more in that aspect than I would gain. Could you clarify that for me? Thanks again! :)

@@suuhhh3852 Just DW flurry shot not the weapon mastery version. The best weapon for supercharge regen is Handblasters which alot of healers use but DW is the best for power regen itself because of the faster hit counter. Also the way demon fang procs its a bit slower on handblasters where your DW flurry shot wouldn't have any issues getting all the demon fang procs.

it's kinda weird. My mic has active noise cancellation so when I go quiet or don't talk at my normal voice volume cause i'll fluctuate on my tone all the time in normal conversation the mic starts to cancel it out etc. I will have to continue to play around with the balance cause I realize it too but if I turn the balance down when I normally talk i'll start to peak sound levels and sound worse cause it will be so loud etc. It's just a headset mic ( Razer Kraken 7.1 V2) not like a snowball or independent mic at all. Sorry for the annoyances :(

Chill appreciate all the work you do. Though I don't always agree with you. But the effort and knowledge is appreciated. Just a quick question on your might dps ones. I run the same 3 that you are running, but I believe the tetra at 160 is actually more beneficial then the solar. While the solar gives you 5% might. The tetra gives you 3% plus another 3.6% in dps role at 160. Again I run the same 3 you do, but the tetra may be better. Especially if no one else in the group is using it. And that is the key.

I run the tetra, solar and scrap. Most dps don’t use the tetra anymore so as a group synergy not only am I buffing my might but also my teammates. I like helping my group so something like that is very beneficial.

cmssets depends what you are going for. Let me share an example if I am a nature dps running the terra and there is a earth or rage in the run not only am I giving those 2 great melee powersets 4000 might but the entire group so each member is doing more damage so in the end as nature I do less dmg because npcs are dying faster so my dots loose dmg. The same can be said for electric. Since the tetra is a group buff it can sometimes be detrimental to you. In this video I am showing the best artifacts for dps to do your *OWN* dmg if you want to just help the group and your personal dmg doesn’t matter to you then yea continue to run the terra no problem

@@bootyeater69696 in dps role it is doubled. So that 1.8 percent is now 3.6 percent. And usually your health is a little more then double your might. Depending on SP and gear. So in theory that 2% extra you get from the solar being a 5% might over the tetra being 3% might at max. Would then roughly become 5% might increase for solar vs 6.6% total for tetra. Again just rough numbers.

Let’s say you spec into hybrid dps and use soul cloak. Does weapon mastery help fill the supercharge power quicker? Or do weapon attacks only work for trolls when filling the supercharge?

anthraxfan93 depends largely on the situation. If it’s a long boss fight that’s only single target and no adds *AND* your powerset doesn’t have a good single target supercharge than yes use dead king. But say if you are water or munitions or a powerset with a great single target supercharge you’ll get more dmg from using those supercharges with Gemini than you would dead king. But there’s not too many powersets with good s/t super and... there aren’t too many fights that only involve single target bosses so it’s all situational

Hey can you do an op munitions dps load out I'm a 258 Muni with 379 so an I know there is an op load out but can't figure it out.i know it's with killer instincts but don't know best loadout with using killer instincts.

I'm a 257 Muni with 304 and I don't use Killer Instincts and place in top 2 or 3 depending what others have their artifacts lvl at. Mine are only at 160 (Solar), 131 (Tetra, propbably gonna change to Cloak) & 125 (Gemini). I haven't seen a Muni using Killer Instincts place in top 3 anytime I've run with em. There are at least 2 loadouts that I use that are 6.3 sec or 6 sec that put out 75k - 120+k damage per rotation on a single target (pending crits).

max range? no, you would have to be melee. The aoe at max range is just average for HL but still puts you well below any of the ranged powersets like electric, munitions, quantum etc

XxPAPITOCRxX 44 if you are superspeed and have a 160 Gemini I would honestly use speed drain as a supercharge instead. If you don’t have it at 160 than don’t worry about it for now. If you aren’t superspeed I would run with mounted turret over biggun as if you don’t get consistent crits with big gun it’s fairly low dmg

MrMack for the win since speed drain is 25% super and has a head mod you earn it much faster and it’s about 80k dmg as a dot roughly so it’s great with the Gemini because you can just keep popping speed drain near the other dps to get some of their dmg and just rinse and repeat. The dmg from multiple speed drains and Gemini will be greater than Gemini with 1 or 2 big guns etc through the course of a raid

Hey OC, thanks for another well-thought & timely vid. What are your thoughts on feeding unused/unusable (yet mid-leveled) artifacts to new ones? I have the Soul Cloak, Tetra, Harness and Soder maxxed, i'm willing to sacrifice those unusable artifacts to level the Eye after say, 100-120, since that 160 breakthrough is such a grind (and then rebuy if things change), but just thought i'd ask. i don't see much other than it will only give half of the xp to the next artifact. anything else to consider?

This is exactly what ruins this game, "Everyone" thinking they have to be the best DPS, in the game. First it was you're relying on other roles, which wasn't right either. Every character should be independent of itself, and have it's own unique powers which benefit in some way, which another wouldn't. "If you don't have enought power, don't rely on a controller, regulate your own stats! You're an idiot if you're maxing out Damage or Might, because you will rely on healers and controllers for the rest of your stats!! But of course when you have the correct power lineup, people start crying, OP OP. Well, that's why they destroyed this game. Now 2020 It's all about how much money can we get them to spend on styles, and we'll give them in return as much DPS abilities as possible, to make them feel powerful! lol So lame and pathetic... They totally destroyed ICE POWERS! I once could freeze you in a block of ice for 60 seconds, now they disabled this ability altogether for my four ice power encasements I once used. You can no longer freeze anyone in a block of ice with normal powers. Imagine ICE not being able to FREEZE ANYONE!!!? Leave it to the DCUO morons! lmao How did I fix this? I'm now a Ice-Mental character, which looks ridiculous, but my powers work correctly again! I can now freeze you in a block of ice for 60 seconds! lol I can't wait until someone makes a better game, and knows what the hell they are doing! I will give them credit for artifacts, a game finally works like the game should, but destroying powers in the process defeats the purpose of that, so all pointless really...too bad, too bad. I don't know how people get excited over and over because they get the highest DPS! Monkeys act this way, it's not difficult to max out a role for high DPS, that's not fun, that's not how this game was meant to be, but that's where it's at now. Your DPS count means nothing if you can't move for 60 seconds at a time in PVP LMAO!

You make a gr8 point that I won't refute but here's my advice don't fall into the trap of waiting hrs at a time for Raids or anything like that. I used to run raids mostly and tbh it was more of a headache than it was worth, too many politics and str8 up dictatorship going on with the end game content. Now that I'm back I play everything but raids and my time is well spent and most importantly the game is fun again. And once you've cleared everything go farm collections/Regeants/styles/feats/SP etc. And when you get tired of that play with an alt or play another game.

Obsidian, I found that 160 Tetrahedron, 160 Soul Cloak, and 160 Eye of the Gemini (with max sp in Might and 140 sp in Health) actually granted a higher Might score after using a superpower than running Solar Amplifier instead of Tetrahedron. Have you compared these two situations? Am I missing something regarding why you chose as you did? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Using the tetra will certainly give you more might than any combination but the thing is that is also helping all the other dps in the group. Say I am a powerset that relies on damage over time like nature or electric and to some degree quantum. If I am giving all the other dps in the run 4000 might, everything is dying faster and in the end *I END UP* doing less damage. So it depends on what you want, I don't necessary want to buff all the other dps in the run especially if they are like a earth or rage etc that can take advantage of the might better for melee etc. If you want to buff the group for some possibly faster raids then that is certainly an option

If your focus is on just helping the entire group then 100% run the tetra. But in terms of you doing the most "damage" with dps might artifacts it doesn't fall into the top 3

Depends, if you have a tank/healer using gemini to feed SC to you then it greatly increases how many oblivion's you can earn so it will work out in the end but if you are just a solo quantum and no one ever uses that then you are prob better off with the passive damage dead king will constantly give you. It comes down to situational.

Gambler Gambler in terms of the best tank power for prec it’s rage. Berserk works will with prec and you still have good abilities to assist you. Fire dps prec is also good but if you want to tank well too rage is ahead of fire there.

It does work with electric ranged, the radius on the gemini explosion is quite large and covers a huge area. The only negative with electric is since your SC is circuit breaker gemini is only the dmg you do as electric in 6s (plus other players etc) so elec doesn't have that much burst in terms of the dmg you can do in 6s so gemini doesn't get to its full potential

Me and this celestial was tied in dmg then once he started popping that eye of gemini his dmg shot tf up so fast. He was meleeing and we had two earth dps jack hammering so he was getting all that dmg. I was salty 🤣

Jean Michael I doubt it’s going away anytime soon, the dev that created it was pretty set in his rationale to me. The only thing I could see changing is the 25% super spam. He said he would look into dash, bloom etc

The sodas you make from the undercurrent plans is better than the bottle city soda. The effects if you’re using a nitro with 900 might given for 30 minutes is to me the best option. The only good thing from the bottle city soda is the guarantee of 90% health regeneration each time. And I don’t get the hype over the eye of Gemini I use the tetrahedron of urgrund and beat rage and earth dps using it with more than double their damage out as a munitions dps.

Andrew Amburgy every case is different in terms of player skill but I can assure you those rage and earth are complete garbage if a munitions is beating them. Munitions can barely parse in the mid 30’s when earth is 40+ easily. Also the bottle city stacks with the nitros, all you have to do is take 1 nitro and switch to the city soder and than if you die or its past 30min rebuff. Why would you waste a nitro every time you need a soder if the bottled one is unlimited

ObsidianChillDCUO these rage/earth dps are close to my CR and skill points and use good loadouts as I’m aware of, another good example was a 260 using smokebomb with full prec and 160 artifacts maxed out. I ended up beating him by just over a mil in ZooE. I’m 262CR and trust me my loadout for munitions can rival even the best of any powerset. My reasoning for the sodas is not that I’m using up the nitros constantly, only when I go down or when the buff goes away but my example for the bottle city soda is say you go down, get res, lose the nitro buff then have to equip it again to gain it. Sounds like an annoyance to go back and forth unless you opt out of using something for it in your trinket slot. But again everyone is different.

Andrew Amburgy I only pop nitro in the beginning of the raid and never worry about it if I go down in the middle of a fight. Just run with the bottle city until I can get a break to put up the nitro again. Also I agree, Muni can be OP af. So is Rage and Earth though. I've seen all three do amazing damage, along with some gadgets to be honest.

Stizzfoshizz to each their own I keep the nitros or vitamin sodas on deck 24/7 even if I consume more than average for the buff or healing. At the end of the day it’s subjective.

Nope nothing will make the previous guides dps videos obsolete. I rarely recommended using 100% supers anyways in the videos. There are some powersets where the 50% ones suck and the 100% is really good (Quantum, Light, Munitions (kinda) Gadgets (kinda)) where you can make a choice then but it will come down always to a) do you have the gemini at 160? if you don't than its pointless to worry about and b) just playing around with your options and you'll be able to see any damage differences.

tough call as I haven't been celestial yet but I'm pretty sure they end up using neo venom because idol doesn't do much dmg. So if its neo venom it may not be as good in the long run vs a deadking

Celest here. I Mostly DPS in Healer role in DPS gear and Might Augments, even in most Elites. The loadout is Deathmark, Sacred Light, Blessing, Speed Drain(2500SC), Whirling Dervish(mobile but can get blocked)/Vortex Trap(Not that mobile but uninterruptible and can be cancelled) you can use either or both and for the last one I use Renew since my Orb of Arion is Maxed. Speed drain is literally a part of every rotation on adds since I’m also using maxed out Soul Cloak for the third artifact and have a SC generator in the loadout. Damage is pretty OP(in healer role) LOOL. I can easily beat most Ranged DPS since I’m doing melee. The catch is, you have to have Super Speed for this loadout to work. Don’t use Consume Soul or any other celestial powers since they receive a damage penalty in healer role whereas movement one do not. You could try using Sonic Cry if you aren’t superspeed but the damage is meh. I could use my Solar Amplifier which is nearly maxed as well but I really like having a priority heal since I don’t trust other healers, well maybe some... Then I replace Orb for Amplifier and priority heal with movement power/hard light shield but I normally use Orb, Cloak, Gemini and use priority since with Orb at 160 you also get a pet that will heal you or anyone else in the group, not OP but definitely handy when doing melee. Melee is actually pretty safe with a competent tank since you’ll be using your Deathmark, which btw is the MVP since it’s a 4 man/5 second shield that explodes and does damage and does even more damage if an add dies when marked so make sure to use it on half dead adds. Typically I run behind the tank and pop Speed Drain, Deathmark or use one of the 2 movement powers I mentioned above, pop priority as needed and occasionally clip Sacred Light with Blessing after Deathmark to really cheese out even more damage since it forces the purple shield to explode instantly.

Then go with the grimorium. I HATE the eye artifact! It gives crap stats and if you get pulled or knocked down you lose that whole buff. And when you're not running soul cloak or a super generator you get very few supers to begin with. Eye is a bitch artifact. It's only good for leeching damage and most DPS will run out of yours so they can beat you... I run venom grim and AI. this way I can't go wrong.

thats what I did but again it depends for me i prefer to have top dps so i dont really use the tetra i have the eye at 140 on 1 toon and 120 on the other and it still does fine basically if you want to help the group use the tetra if you want to have a better chance at top dps use the eye

@SpokenFor HD The range on the proc from pollux gaze is still quite large. In Throne I can hit all the adds on the second tank if I stand closer to the middle and dps Wrath so you get to hit an additional 10+ targets when all the adds are out. Because the damage is going to be so low if you just use it on Wrath himself because of his increased defense. In terms of powersets with a 100% super if you have anyone in the group using castor's watch be it the tank or healer that greatly increases the amount of 100% supers that player is getting. Even in the Alert we had a tank running it and the quantum dps in the run had 5 Oblivion's just in a 18min Silent School run. Water set's itself up perfectly for gemini because the damage is delayed enough that you are always hitting easily with Call of the Deep so you have just from yourself alone 600,000-1mil dmg on adds for pollux's gaze contributing before any other dps within the radius procs too.

@SpokenFor HD right now castor's watch > trumps any and all sort of tetra/cog group buffs when you can have infinite supercharge for your league/serious elite runs. I've seen a Throne Elite where every single time off cooldown the precision dps all had neo venom, it became a part of their regular rotation. Same with our earth dps using entomb, he used it every single time it was off cooldown for the entire Wrath fight.

​@SpokenFor HD To address a couple things first before I break down your points just so I don't get sidetracked or they come up randomly in the reply. *1)* the alert I spoke up was just a pug and I was healing just using my gemini for arbiter and even with that the quantum was able to earn that many 100% SC's in that short amount of time when the alert has plenty of moments of downtime where there is no active combat like the crab soccer phase. In this case it wouldn't be possible to earn that much SC especially as quantum which doesn't use anomaly in its rotation cause its trash. *2)* I consider this best case scenario artifacts to maximize your damage potential. I can't say well if you have low sp then use these artifacts or if you have only 80 level artifacts use these and if you don't have time capsules use these artifacts etc. I can only provide advice given the general assumption that players will work towards getting their artifacts to 160 and care about trying to maximize their damage. That is the only assumption I can make in regards to best artifacts. What helps you be a better dps? The support players artifacts are targeted towards what helps the group out the most but in terms to dps not all players will care about how fast the run is they want to know how they can do the most damage. Even myself included, if the run takes 5-10min longer but I can make sure i'll do alot more damage than i'll pick option 2, that's just my philosophy in the game, not to the point to ignore rez's and chase the scorecard but putting myself in the best position to do the most damage is the information I work towards. 1. Yea those adds shouldn't be killed cause they'll rez anyways if they do in his phase but at the same time if I have to use a damage super or pop an orbital in a pug run or even if I am semi dpsing against leagemates im not going to drop it on Wrath who will take like 40% less damage or whatever the figure is because of his debuffs. I will either a) wait until he is invincible and then drop everything I have on all the adds or I will just throw the odd damage on the flame adds that come close or the swarmers etc. The general pug mentality isn't necessary about how fast can I always do this run to farm the next raid nor is it about topping dmg every single run but its just a balance between both. 2.I should have clarified it more in the video but yes, I wouldn't recommend to anyone they use the gemini until its 160 because the benifits are not worth it up to that point. I like others just took old artifacts and put them into the gemini to level them quicker as I knew it would be more important than some extra's I had etc [don't refer to exploit on xp as I didn't use it on gemin its a normally levelled artifact :)] There are better options until ones gemin is 160 to its full potential. 3.it's easy to say the negative side but when you have multiple sc's spamming 1) there is no power really needed because of the power regen in the pollox gaze so a controller really just needs to save their supercharges for shield moments and controller shields are perfectly fine for most attacks. 2) for healers like sorc they are constantly in arbiter so the increase in heals offsets any wasted supercharge moments. This content doesn't really require shields once players have their augments up even 1 at 23 which they would need to do for the feat and if they play often and are casual they would still have alot of augment xp saved/available because of all the content they run. Even with 1 level 23 augment it is hard to die to the seabeast strafe in Throne final boss. 4.The infinite cheese isn't available but you would still have your soul cloak and sc generator in some dps powersets to contribute to your SC. When the dlc started all the dps that cared about 160's got the gemini first and saw a noticable increase in their damage before the support players leveled or started used their gemini for the cheese. 5. Pug runs will continue to be shit because it's not the artifacts bailing them out from being bad. If the precision dps have more prec from the cog or might dps have more might from the tetra it doesn't all of a sudden mean the run won't be a fail because a might dps with 2000+ more might but using a trash rotation or not serious about his role will still be trash. 6. Well in terms of healers I haven't gone over what they should use in terms of "best" type video. I would always tell them to use the Orb + Gemini + Fang/Omega as healers don't really have a great 3rd option, gemini fits for now but if they patch the cheese than its pointless for support and it will be different. In terms of needing the cloak I still wouldn't run that as healer because if you have 2 healers using the gemini or healer/tank than the soul cloak is pointless. In the runs we have had where the healers bounce between the 2 Gemini's im constantly on like 60-70% or sometimes 90% super because i'll be full before I can use arbiter again so dropping the cloak really doesn't change much where the cloak doesn't effect the regen I get from the castor's watch it just gives me the other bonuses which aren't necessary required. Not sure about Water yet but nature doesn't really need savage growth, it helps but you don't require the extra HOT to be a great nature healer. Nature healers that had a supercharge before for special moments healed alright without the passive extra hot. Nature is actually in the best position with bug form, you just pop out of bug and go into it etc proc the gemini and go back to your regular human rotation or put an extra power in bug and hit that and go back. Nature is the best healer to be the supercharge mule with this gemini meta. 7. While melee and range positions will indeed differ depending on the situation the majority of ranged players stick together to feed off eachother's supply drops, you can normally see pug range dps within like 10-15 feet of eachother. The lone rangers are the melee dps. On wrath it is incredibly easy to melee him since he has 0 damage that is 360 degrees you just stay to his back and you don't die except from the staff slam which is a skull telegraph and you can role or block out of but its not that hard. But like you said normally players in groups don't because if they range they will get the supplys and gemini's from all the other players. So you still need to use your head to maximize the gemini but its possible in every scenario. Also The Throne is a bad example just because of how his defense buff is so in future content if this all remains the same than that could completely change. If this was Hive or Machine from the beginning with these artifacts *LMAO THE GEMINI SC CHEESE WOULD HAVE BEEN INSANE HAHA* 8. You are right, alot more indepth testing will need to be done on the 100% supercharges to see their effectiveness but at the same time I can't tell players if you are only ever going to be this powerset and never swtich for the rest of your life than yea you don't have to worry about the gemini. I don't believe players will swtich just to have a better gemini damage but I still have to go off my general assumptions that for the majority of the powersets there are supercharge options to benefit the gemini, but there are some that are the exception.
