I was on the hunt to find the best drugstore flat iron or hair straightener under $50 with titanium plates. The hunt is over. This flat iron is by Conair Infiniti Pro and it retails for $39.99 (on sale at Ulta). It's not perfect, but for under $50 it is the best drugstore flat iron on the market.
This straightener does a great job straightening hair. It is smooth, glides through the hair very easily. It also curls the hair like a pro. The only thing I would complain is lack of digital controls. But, when a flat iron performed like a professional iron, I can overlook the lack of digital controls. If you do not want to invest the money, or looking for a backup flat iron, this is a sure thing.

Now that’s big difference! The Conair side really does look frizzy, which is crazy. Why would that happen? You may have just talked me into getting the Bioionic flat iron.

Pamela F I have a feeling that the frizz is due to the body of the flat iron being a cheaper plastic. I notice that with certain hair brushes too, some of them give me more static while I brush and others don’t.

After my expensive hair straightener died I bought one of these to use until I could purchase another high end one. I absolutely fell in love with this straightener & never ended up buying another high end one. I have to have a straightener that gets fairly hot due to my hair type so generally the drug store brands won't work for me. I have the real colored one & mine does show the different temp options. It goes from 365°, 392°, 419°, 455°. I've had this one for 4 years & it is still going strong! Best $50 I ever spent!!!

I just bought that Bioionic 10X at Ulta when they had it on sale, still expensive from $230 to $161 but it was a good deal. OMG it’s amazing. I’ve had a Sedu for years, it’s still works but it was the 1 1/2" width and I wanted to try a 1". I have coarse frizzy hair so I have to blow dry and flat iron it. My hair has never looked so smooth and shiny using that Bioionic 10X, so happy I bought it.

Milabu Your so right that’s how I feel about expensive hair tools, they last so much longer, I think I have had my Sedu for I know at least more than 8 years and it’s still working. I’m one of those persons who takes care of her stuff and cleans them after every use. Have a blessed day. I showed my niece how it vibrates and she’s thinking about getting it instead of that new Dyson curling thing.

While I love watching these videos, it is a little annoying as us non-americans can’t acutally use those hot tools where we live. While the flat iron is only $50 US an adapter to use it here in Australia is about $50 AUD ($36 US). I do know that your American viewers will enjoy watching these product specific reivews, but I would personally love a video about what you look for and love in a straghtener or curling iron. So maybe more describing what you like about your favourite hot tools? After reading this through I’m not sure how you would do this but anyway...I still love watching ☺️

I have NO idea how you use the flat iron to make waves! I try and it never looks that great. Anyway, I am the type that would rather invest a little more money up front because of the quality you usually get, (not always tho!). You have to consider the many years you will get out of your investment just as you do any item you purchase. I do appreciate you showing us lower cost alternatives out there!!!
