I just bought a pair of these, and they can connect to 2 devices at the same time. It has a setting (right top corner in the app - dual connections) and you can pair them with 2 devices. So if you're listening to music on your laptop and someone calls you, it can automaticly switch between your laptop and phone, and switch back when the call ends.

They must have updated the app to enable that, which is fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

I had a pair of A1’s, which were a def upgrade & I really liked them; but they got lost, so I figd I’d try the A3i’s. My job is very noisy, so I use ear buds while working, in place of wearing ear plugs. I also have to wear gloves, so I need buds w/ button control. I like the side button on the A3i’s, so I’m not pressing it into my ear. I also like being able to customize the button controls w the app. BUT compared to the A1’s, I was disappointed by a few things: 1. No wireless charging 2. The lid on the case of the A3i’s feels flimsy compared the the A1’s. The A1 case have a satisfying feel when they flip open & STAY open + when it flips closed, it’s equally satisfyingly that it CLASPS shut. 3. I don’t like that the A3i’s power on when you open the case. When I go to put them away, if the case even slightly cracks open while sliding them into a pocket or if they get jostled in my bag etc., they power on & my audio switches over, which is very annoying. Which goes back to #2… Why would Anker make these power on by opening the case, but then redesign it to be worse (more flimsy) than the A1’s (which only power on when removed from the case)? 4. Customizable button controls restricted: When using both buds you have the options to adjust the button controls for: Press 1x, Press 2x, & Hold 2sec. BUT when using only 1 ear bud, they take away the “Press 1x” Option 😡! Why would Anker do that? It makes no sense?!?! Obvi, the whole point of having controls on your ear buds is so you can perform a function when your phone etc. is either out of reach or buried in your pocket etc. I must be diff from most ear bud consumers, b/c when I start listening to anything & then put my phone away, I hardly ever need to adjust the volume, sometimes I may either skip a track or start it over, but more often than anything I need to pause & play. Whether it’s to listen/talk to someone around me, momentarily give more of my attention to a particular task, or to focus more closely on something that’s happening. My point is, like I said, my ear buds get the most use while at my job (manufacturing) & if I’m working, I only use 1 ear at a time (for safety reasons). But b/c I’m usually wearing gloves: 1. I need to have an actual “button” b/c “touch” doesn’t work very well. & 2. I prefer only 1X click for play/pause, b/c (again) 2x clicking w/ gloves can still be tricky. So, as I, myself, am also in search for the “perfect” ear buds, I really thought these A3i’s were going to be “the One”. Especially b/c these are supposed to be an upgrade from the A1’s! I assumed they’d at least have everything I loved about my A1’s & that the extra features + redesign would fill the gaps where they were lacking (especially the customizable controls). So, you can imagine my dismay when I got them, put both buds in, set the controls to my liking (1x click play/pause), & put them away… Only to discover later (when I put only 1 bud in) that when only using 1 ear bud, not only does play/pause default back to 2x click, but you DON’T even have an option for 1x click for single bud use!!! 🤬😡🤬 Why the heck would Anker do that? I’m a very logical person by nature. So, it makes sense to have 1x click to answer/end a phone call. As such, logic (+ virtually all prev. BT’s I’ve ever had) dictates the same should apply to starting/stopping any other audio/video. Overall, I do like the A3i’s. But my search will cont… …& Anker will def be hearing from me in the near future.

It does pair to two devices at the same time! I got these under a different name (Life Dot 3i) and they do connect to two devices at the same time so multi point connectivity does exist!

Excellent review, thanks so much. I do a lot of travelling, is the ANC good enough to block the noise of an aircrafts engine so I can watch movies and listen to music in realtive peace? Thanking you in advance 🙂
@mraudiofeedback2 жыл бұрын
These would do an adequate job but I doubt any earbuds would block out the noise of an aircraft engine. For that, I suggest a decent pair of over-ear headphones. You could test these out on a flight and return them to Amazon if they don't work well enough. I haven't tested them on a flight so I can't say definitively.

Thanks for the great review! Have you tried sleeping in them? Do they have noise pass-through mode, and is there audio lag on videos? So far they sound like the best option for the money! Next step will be their larger Liberty 3 Pro's with 11.2 mm woofers and coaxial tweeters! I hear they get loud as one can imagine, to boot. Certainly not for sleeping in, however.
@DeludedisMind Жыл бұрын
You can sleep comfortably in them for sure and there is a normal "noise pass through" mode. Audio lag on videos is minimal but in games its terrible. So definitely not good for gaming but good for pretty much everything else except jogging-running or other shaky and heavy movements.

its crazy I can't find my model of soundcore. can't remember the model number but I bought it in 2021 and this is awesome. only one issue i'm having now. the left earbud loses sound. it functions as a stop start for the sound but i'm not getting sound. they last forever. I tried the hard reset but that doesn't seem to work. it's the deep oval clam shell with hooked ear tips.
@suprxmefire9497 Жыл бұрын
I have an even weirder issue with mine. The sound is louder and bass is better on the right earbud then the left one, I had an incident where hand sanitizer got inside the speakers and ever since then it’s been having that issue. Probably even before then it had this issue too. I tried resetting mine and the issue still doesn’t go away. That’s the only reason I was thinking of switching these to the liberty 3 pro or getting another pair. I see some similar designed earbuds to these that are affordable and also some that are more expensive but I’m torn between those. Anyways, that was off topic, the sound quality is worse when the earbud is in my ear but better when I change the position of the earbud. I thought I had a bad seal but it wasn’t that, the sound was kind of worsened for some reason when I have the eartip in my ear vs when it’s not in all the way.
@tjgrafiks Жыл бұрын
@@suprxmefire9497yeah was dealing with exactly that too. the sound would change as i moved the airbud around lol. i tried soaking the screen part without rubber tips in alcohol for 5 minutes and that seem to have solved my issue 😂😂😂. why i didn’t think to do it cpl months ago is beyond me
@suprxmefire9497 Жыл бұрын
@@tjgrafiks the sound is gone on my left earbud now. It happened I don’t know how. I’ll just prey that I get the liberty 3 pro for Christmas, the renewed one on Amazon because it’s a nice deal for these earbuds that were once pricey and I’m hoping if I do get them, they won’t be a bad pair.

Hey seth Im considering of buying this but im quite hesitant with the side button feature of the earbuds. Will it be uneasy for people with long nails to press the button?
@mraudiofeedback2 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't know if it'll be more difficult but I'm leaning towards saying no, it likely won't be more difficult since the button is easy to access in general. Odds are a set of earbuds with touch sensors would be easier but I'm not a huge fan of the sensors.
@loqweiciouschannel2 жыл бұрын
@@mraudiofeedback Yeah im not a fan of touch sensors too. Theyre annoying. I had one and i returned it. I was really leaning towards getting jabra, maybe the elite 7 pro or the elite 5 just because they ticked out all the specs i needed: compact size (no stem), button control, has ANC, and button controls can be edited via app. However, its kinda pricey because theyre more than $100! So i when i saw this A3i earbuds, i am really considering it because of the price. I mean, it has all of the qualities im looking for plus the price. The only thing im just so concerned is the side buttons. I did find other brands like edifier that has compact earbuds and button controls plus the cheap price but i cannot edit the controls via app, compared to jabra and soundcore which offers a lot of independent functions. So really im stuck with jabra and soundcore. Im really leaning now for jabra, but i would really love to consider soundcore if the buttons would be as easy as just pressing them fron the front like the jabras do.

Did you give up on the bone conduction headphones I still like mine, based on your previous recommendation -- As for the in ear earphones, I usually wear those in One ☝️ ear, not both. And if there’s are others, like me, the fact that there’s different functionality with each earbud … that may prove to be a disadvantage for the user Glad that you mentioned that this device only pairs to one device vs multiple devices. That’s a disappointing game changer for me Thanks again for your review And your live-streaming, screen presents and presentation gets better and better with each showing One other thing, your content was also clear and concise - at first, when you talked about Prime Day and all of the great deals. I thought that you might try to compare too many things at once and really loose us Thanks again for your clarity

I have both and probably the A3i's are a bit louder but both are fine and both have good bass. I think the A3i's have a slightly brighter sound but the A2 NCs sound really good as well. That being said, I am really enjoying the A3i's right now. They are my go to pair. I just find I'm tweaking the EQ settings fairly often with them whereas the A2's seem good set where they are. Hope this helps.
@loqweiciouschannel2 жыл бұрын
Hello! I had an a2nc once and as per volume i find them not as loud as my old readmi earbuds. The bass is good, plus you can adjust it in any way you like through their soundcore app. However if youre particular with size of the earbuds, you might want to not consider a2nc as they look bulky, as per my experience since i have small ears. Also, you might want to think twice of the touch control feature. I didnt have the best experience with it. Its not that it malfunctions, but i would prefer having button controls.
