Another question: Are you actually listening to your mic'd up drums through a mixer/interface + DAW or something? I bought these because I'm trying to listen to songs on either my phone or computer and play along on my acoustic kit. Although I could maybe mic things up and have it all coming through to my ears (I have an M-audio mixer that might work), I'm trying to just listen to the track with the earphones and drum along, same as if I was recording, but I'm having trouble hearing the tracks above the drums. It's better than my previous headphones but still, even when somewhat dampening/muting the kit (I'm currently just using towels and sheets but thinking of upgrading to RTOM Black Holes and Zildjan L80s), I can just about hear the track without turning it up too much that it might accidentally deafen me. I do suffer a bit from tinnitus so I don't know if that's a factor. I might have to double up with an old over-ear headset (unplugged) or like a construction worker ear protector.

This might be a late reply but having your own drums in the mix while playing really helps. It may sound a bit silly when you've never done that but it totally enhances the "feel" you get while playing. When I'm on my own I also only listen to the music but especially when in a band-situation getting your own drums as well in the mix is really a game changer.

I am surprised you liked them so much, because I have heard now there are brands like KZ, TIN and BLON which are much cheaper and sound much better. Both for the isolation is really important for us drummers and these are one of the best in isolation and comfort, so I ordered the same IEMs today, I can sacrifice a bit of sound quality to protect my hearing!

Problem with ZS10 Pros is that most of the ear tips available don't fit properly or provide a good seal. Not for my ears anyway. I wonder if there are any flange tips available for the ZS10s, or if the Shure ear tips fit them?

I just bought these and I found this video because I couldn't quite put them on. I'm not sure if yours did to, but the cables for mine have this plastic tubing about an inch or 2 long near the earbuds. Is the idea that it's meant to mould around the back of your ear? Because I'm finding them a bit stiff. Thanks.

@@dektrimusic well In ears does protect you to a certain extent, you can get plugs if you’d like. But in my opinion you could get styrofoam ear tips with your in ears and it would do a good job. It’s less about the ear phones and more about the eartips in my opinion if you are talking about protection
