*Death Stranding is my GOTY.* I went into it expecting to hate it, but Kojima has somehow managed to create something very special. I've honestly never been a fan of his previous work, so it's a very welcome surprise. The secrets and references within the game aren't too exciting, but I loved the game enough to want to make a video about them. I hope you guys enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it, and thanks for watching!

@FunWithGuru5 жыл бұрын
@@dmitryrodionov2386 It's basically a single player game with a focus on story, so yes. When playing online, you never run into other players, but only their equipment. So someone could put down a bridge somewhere in their game, and it appears to other people playing on that server. It's a really nice use of multiplayer and it helps you out on your own quest.

Hideo Kojima has a weird way to reference himself in his games.
@sketchyth0ughts3995 жыл бұрын
He is very auto biographical. P.T Silent Hill was a subtle way to tell his story at Konami. The woman was the FOX Engine/MGS and a few other monsters could be seen as him or Konami. MGS 5 Ground Zeroes: a mesage to Metal Gear fans. In 'Deja Vu' there are several knock-off Metal Gear games e.g. Metal Gear Liquid. Miller commemts that these aren't the true names (hinting at Konami planning to use the series as a cash grab). At the end Psycho Mantis says "You're a fan of Hideo Kojima games, aren't you?". This is him telling Konami "You can take my game, my engine and my entire IP but my fans will always remember ME" and it's even more insulting because in MGS2 Psycho Mantis says "You're a fan of Konami games, aren't you?". He was even in MGSV TPP as a Mother Base staff member. He made many appearances and used characters to subtly tell a separate story, and may have even dodged a Non Disclosure Agreement.

They're a couple of cinematic parrallels as well: - The Tree of Life: During Heartman's family story, the beach that he sees with everyone walking looks exacly like a scene were we see the afterlife...fitting. - Apocalypse Now: During the last Cliff fight he rises from the water with marks on his face, just like in the movie during the climax. - Under the Skin: *MINOR SPOILERS* after the giant BT fight with Higgs when he shoots you and go to the Beach, if you look up while swimming you can see a giant Amelie walking over it. In the movie there's an EXACT shot like that, as the victims on the film drown an allways look up to see a walking """woman"" over the water. Most of Amelie's character is soooo similar to the protagonist of that film. - The End of Evangelion: *HUGE SPOILERS* when Sam is in the "moon" just sitting watching the beach covered in blood with the Earth on the background, looks like the film poster and everything about that scene feels a LOT like the apocalyptic climax of the movie. Sorry for my bad english. Hope someone makes a video about those or maybe others that I didnt catch (besides the movie posters and soundtracks you can find). Loved so much the game!

The BEST Easter Egg in my Opinion was the "Boss Fight" against Higgs. I swear to god that was a reference to MGS 4 (Snake vs. Ocelot)

God, Maz Mckleson really was powerful in this game, its been such a long time since I cried during anything these days. Everytime I see him react emotionally to what he was after (sorry trying not to spoil but) HE is so damn amazing in this series!

Kojima in my opinion is one of the most creative, original, most thoughtful game creator out there, he makes beautiful games with beautiful acting, amazing characters, hundreds of easter eggs and they can be played in handful of different ways. It's very unfortunate that Kojima lost the ownership of the Metal Gear franchise. Even if he didn't make any more games, it was still his game that was taken from him.

Great video. I love the cameo section. I didn't recognise some of them, but it makes sense why Hideo Kojima was taking a lots of slefies when he began the creation of Kojima Production. He was going to see some game developpers studios, directors and other famous people to connect with them, and to thank them he integrates their numeric double in the game.

This is why I’m glad to be a PS owner. I never see anyone on Microsoft and Nintendo do stuff Mr. Kojima-San puts in his games. Love it. Especially the Birthday easter egg. I loved it in MSGV and I love it in DS.
