Have been running a Rise with torque and power limits removed for a year, I love it, lighter weight with full power, I feel it faster/quicker than Gen3 Levo. 360w main + 252w extender = 612w, plenty enough to hang with the heavy full fats. Definitely agree with your ideal ebike idea.

What you are describing, I recently bought😅 A Heckler C for reduced price of 5.400 Euros. Shimano EP8 with new software (stronger). Lyrik fork(lightweight) and 720wh battery. 22 kg as I attached my old carbon wheels and some parts I had…but even w/o these parts 22.7 kg. So maybe not as light as the orbea but close😊

I think the canyon apectral on7 cf fits the bill! What do you think

With a little effort I’ve read that some have already done this with the ‘23 Rise by having their LBS switch the software from RS to full fat. I’ve got a ‘23 M20 540w with extender and chose to get it because It left my options open to do that in the future, though I haven’t felt the need yet.

I've ridden a Rise H30 540 Wh where Orbea forgot to apply the RS-software. It seems we aren't getting full power from the EP8 though. We compared it against a Canyon Torque:ON with the EP8 and a 500 Wh battery. Only when we dropped the motor power on the Canyon to 73 Nm they seemed comparable. I'm guessing the battery current is limited in the BMS on the Orbea. But yeah, this shows the 540 Wh Rise could easily be more powerful.

My dream product would be a Orbea Rise Bike but with the new Bosch SX Motor. Thats it...I don't need anything else to change really (no fancy auto shift for example). For me it would also be a 540 Wh Battery with an extender option for cases like a long "alp-crossing" sort of situation. I see what you mean though...I always also thought that the RS option is kinda strange because if you really fancy a less active support option just decrease the power in the assist modes which can be configured in the app....like wth, why limit your customers like that?

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been launched more Bosch SX bikes by now. Paired with a ~360 Wh battery, a weaker motor makes sense. These smaller battery can't deliver that much power. But combined with a 540 or even 630 Wh battery, limiting the power seems unnecessary. Give the user the option to access all the power.

For me it would be the dream bike aswell if it had better build quality, non-rattling motor and removable battery.

`You forgot to add more travel to the Orbea Rise for 2024. My dream bike. Orbea Rise, unrestricted EP801 motor, 630-watt battery, 160 travel front, 150 travel rear travel, with the option for a battery extender. When this comes out, I'm buying one.

Yeah, the Rise is getting old and the new Rise KN-edition should have a bit more travel. But it will increase the weight. 140 mm travel up front allows Orbea to run lighter forks.

My perfect ebike is one with less than 16klg, and cost less than 6.000€. I have an Orbea Rise M20 2023 with 360 watts plus range extender 😊

I don't think any advances in battery tech would bring a full power emtb below 16 kg. The mild, lightweight emtbs are almost there though. But the price needs to be sliced in about half to make them a realistic option (:

Ma i 4 kg sono così importanti in una ebike per divertirsi sempre ed il prezzo vale la candela per avere una bici più leggera che costa più delle altre da 25 kg? Allora basta dimagrire :-)

All these "Best Emtb .." and "Best trails in the world" videos are just clickbait. The best bike is the one that suits YOUR riding style and YOUR physical stature, and will odds on differ to the next guy, just as the best trails are a fully subjective things as not everyone wants to ride the style of trails that the next person does. I have a friend who has a full sus e-bike that was literally a 3rd the value of the one I have use of. For him, his age, build and his 'type' of riding, his bike is perfect, or otherwise, the 'best' bike for him. Mine, works perfectly for what I do, is far more capable than what I do, but is strong enough for my weight where a 18kg EMTB may well not be (I'm a heavy unit!) - so suits me and my needs. Would a longer travel version of mine (or my friends for that matter), with the newer beefier fork make it better - NO, it's make it worse for us both in fairness, where someone else might like that - it's all subjective!

Yeah, I guess it came across, I think the "best bike of 202x" videos are "strange". Declaring a 2024 winner before all -24 bikes have even been released doesn't make sense.

750-800Wh removable battery. Battery extenders. Axle height BB. Not a Shimano motor. No headset or other internal idiot routings.

The old 625/630 Wh batteries that we've used for years would be close to 740 Wh with the new cell chemistry. Most of these batteries are currently detachable. The 700-720 Wh batteries, like the one Specialized is using, would be ~840 Wh! Why aren't anyone releasing these batteries already...?
@taeohaas Жыл бұрын
Using up current supply is my guess, why else would specialized stay with 320W?
