The "tell me your name" scene is easily my favorite scene of season 1. Carlyle and Parrilla are fantastic, as you say. I also love how they incorporated one of the main features of fairy-tale-Rumpelstiltskin, which is that his name is supremely important.

One of the best episodes. Rumple is a thoughtful character who thinks through everything to the smallest detail. The chemistry between Rumple and Regina are insane. Their conversations, how they already know who they really are, just give you goosebumps.

Yep. Rumpy and Regina are amazing tragic villains that you can see turn into the good path if they have the right motivation, but also been at their worst from what they lost and the pain they can't throw away. And it's amazing to see them trying to outsmart the other because you never got the full picture of what they planed ahead.

💯 agree! The first time I remember seeing Robert in a film was in The Full Monty back in 1997/98. He was sexy then, and is even sexier now! In fact, my husband got me to watch OUAT by telling me that Robert Carlyle was Rumpelstiltskin 😆

The reason Rumple is awkward when he caught Belle is because he didn't expect to feel what he did there. I believe he didn't think his heart was capable of love. 😌

No,it doesn't. The more this show goes on the more plot holes it gets. The 1st season is definitely the best,even if I don't personally appreciate how Regina is almost never Good during that period.

Rumple does love his power. However, the reason he got so angry and rejected Belle was because his agenda behind Regina casting his curse was finding Baelfire. Belle would have gotten in the way of that.

isnt it kinda wild tho that him being able to see the future, never saw any part of his life with her in it,,,, now that i think about it, the show has only ever used his visions power in direct relation to casting and breaking the curse. he never even saw himself meeting bae and everything that came after

A great chapter and a great reaction, I really like your reactions, your channel has become one of my favorites in terms of reactions. The scene in which Regina asks Rumple his name is without a doubt one of the best of the season and the series. I hope to continue seeing the reactions to Once Upon a Time, I always wait for them, I just wanted to recommend some series to you but I saw on Patreon that you have already started them which is great and I hope to see them here too since for now I can't be a Patreon :'( . While I do enjoy the jail cell heart to heart scene, the writers made an error. Gold did not have to answer Regina's questions. He just had to say, "Please".

I don´t think it´s an error. Yes, he could use the please and not answer the question, but then he wouldn´t get the cup. And if he used please to ask for the cup, it would have been as good as confirmaton he knows anyway.

Lana Parrilla and Robert Carlyle are easily the best actors on this show in my opinion and have chemistry with almost everyone they share a scene with. Their rivalry is stellar on this show.

Emilie de Ravin, known from Lost, was another strong addition to the cast. and yes, the series really did something special with the old fairy tales, especially with the villains. and what is disney doing today, for example? the prince should go to hell, what is this "true love" nonsense, and doesn't anyone give a sword or a machine gun of the princess, our "strong woman"? total madness and utter boredom!
