@@neito.m.6741 he didn't stab igiris in the neck, Jinwoo first used a fatal strike to stab igiris in the eye and after that he stabbed(multiple fatal strikes) him in the head, through the space between the helmet and the body Armor. If you look carefully there is space below the helmet through which the dagger went in.

I think what is not clear here, which is clear in the manwha, is the nature of the armour Jinwoo is using. The right hand is 100% protected. It doesn’t extend to anywhere else on his body, but that’s why he’s able to catch the sword (plus his own strength).

Nah bro Tetsuya Takeuchi wasn't present for this episode. He is called for cour 2. Episode 4 and 7 which had the best animation until now had only 3 main animators. This episode had 8 main animators of solo leveling that's why there is so much difference in quality.

@@CarlieAndAnge he gets him in the eye initially, and the follow-up final stab that kills Igris is actually going up under the chin, his helmet and gorget (the neck bit) aren't connected together, that's why the kick to the head/neck rang Igris' bell like that. It's a bit clearer in the manhwa, and so is the fact that the gauntlet Jinwoo is wearing negates 100% of damage to his hands, which is why he's able to catch the sword without harm.

Wanna say something on what Ange said about the difficulty of animating a character moving so intensely while the "camera" moves as well. I am currently an animation cinema student and i have a bit of experience on animating the basics and i know that not everything is sketched and animated on the same layer. Jin-woo is definitely animated on a different layer than the background which means that one layer doesnt affect the other during sketching and animation. That doesnt mean it's an easy thing to do still but it surely is worth mentioning

Basically Igris got caught by surprise twice. First he thought Jinwoo was done and he was going to deliver the finisher when Jinwoo caught the sword and stabbed him in the eye. Also they didn't show it but the gauntlet Jinwoo had on that hand had a effect that his hand couldn't take damage which is how he could catch the sword. Then Igris was caught off guard again when he didn't expect Jinwoos dagger to return to him and he used Fatal Strike many times to punch into his neck. If he hadn't been surprised he would have been enough faster and more skilled to dodge it which is why Jinwoo was lucky.

Solo Leveling does a good job of showing how bad ass Igris really is. First they show him completely destroy Jinwoo. Then even after letting his guard down thinking the fight was finished he shrugs off a dagger to the eye like its nothing. Not only that but he pulls that dagger out and is ready to eviserate Jinwoo with that same dagger not knowing that the dagger is part of the system and can't be used. Its clear if the dagger didn't do that Jinwoo was finished. It was a good way of showing how the MC won without diminishing Igris's epicenes one bit. One of the main reasons Igris is a fan favorite.
