Both are effective. Maybe Doli Weaver and Berserker might be better in some situations, but it really depends on the type of enemies you face. That unit focuses primarily on normal attack damage, while CI RM focuses on skills.

Some other f2p alternatives for the second and third row would be appreciated. I think a pa-gt-cf formation would still do the trick fairly well. And when it comes to gt and cf it's easy to get the duplicates for 8 stars.

For this particular meta, it really utilizes on the ability of CI to pull the abilities of RM or SSA. If you don’t have CI, or RM or SSA, I believe it may be better to switch to another squad that has great synergy like the shooter barren meta with DB, Weaver, Wise Berserker.

@@theskyalliance PA-CI-SSA is definitely the best, I think. But the duplicates are an issue if you are f2p. Meanwhile, you can have gt and cf at 8 stars easily. I have tested the pa-gt-cf formation against the shooter barren meta, and it does pretty well given that everything else is equal or close (insect, stats etc.). I take Pa to be the central component that shouldn't be missing, and it has good synergy with gt.

PA is a pretty nice counter to the barren shooter meta! I would imagine that you don’t even need CI and RM or SSA at a high star level to make it outperform 8 star GT and 8 star CF. Do you want to try it?

I would build towards MB MC HP, and if you don’t have MC yet, hope to get it soon. For this reason, maybe sticking to MB LD HP makes sense as then to can quickly switch LD with MC when you get it.
