Oh my... Its affecting me too! The strong winds had pulled the power out, burned some wires and had to evacuate. Here's the story!! :: I was at school, minding my buisness, then we heard a beep,and the power was now out, we thought it was ok, until we got out if the classroom. We heard cracking sounds, and smelt smoked like gas in the hallway. We went to the school cafeteria, but 5 mins into eating, we heard the fire alarm go off. We sat outside, scared while seeing people's fire men trucks and police cars pull up to the ground door. We sat there for at least 45 mins, then went inside. I had started crying, Because my best friend was where the bad stuff was, we saw each other again, both crying and hugging. My friends had comforted us, while saying 'its okay' . But our teacher was still inside of the room, they had shut the door. That made me cry. She was on crutches. So we got lunch, went back to class after we found her, and ate. At that point, I don't have school due to Hurricane Ian. My bff and I hugged, said bye and I left. ( TELLING HOW MY TEACHER GOT CRUTCHES ON 35 LIKES!!)
