Fought the akazaya 9 then 5 supernovas and yamato, 3 rounds with luffy, his clouds down there fighting momonosuke, tanking all kinds of attacks without dodging even though he could’ve, and after a long night like this he still pull up a fight against joy boy himself while moving an island, all that with the ground and clouds is against him too, Kaido is A BEAST

1074 is legit insane... Since Sun God was first mentioned in Skypiea, Luffy using lightning in a form that was forshadowed back in Skypiea makes perfect sense. Salute to our boy Enel. Also agree that if Kaido fought only Luffy and was fresh, Kaido'd still win. I mean, Luffy literally fully recovered after he lost in EP1033 and ate bunch of food, while Kaido was STILL fighting Yamato. Kaido literally never stopped, while others had time to recoup. Killer fight. Runner up top tier fighs are Zoro vs King 1062, 1017 & 1026 of New Generation vs Big Mom/Kaido, 1033 of Kaido fighting an hallucination of Luffy & Luffy vs Katakuri finale. But my god is this an insane fight. Possibly my favorite in anime, when it comes to coreography!

You exactly right about a straight up fight going to Kaido alot miss that. More people do ya boy Doflamingo dirty by forgetting this too. Man was running birdcage, parasite, repairing basic damage, repairing radiation damage (which is stated isnt the same as healing, just held together/repaired). This is why i love luffy's fights. Turns into a fucking god but we dont need to have a cringey 10x as powerful as the thing i was just losing to moment. Man still slugs by bleeding and in pain to win

Yess this being double was a fantastic choice 1:20 I love this attack, is like an ACME evolution of the Gum Gum Fireworks or Gum Gum Storm I love Raizo's trauma making him, with Jimbei, do one of the biggest plays and stop the fire in the whole palace. Still best scabbard 1074 is so clearly the best fight so far. Pure unadultered art. Bouncing on lightning it's just Emperor shit, and manipulating clouds too. In this episode Kaido really show why he is number 1. "You just betrayed your location" and proceeding to do all dragonform big range attacks, he Really uses his fruit at full capacity Luffy has an island sized fist LET'S GOOO Good to hear some respect to Tsuru, she clearly is terrifying, anyone can get wash

Best Luffy fight so far imo and many great moments to come. G5 was made for animation. It gives Toei an excuse to flex their creativity and storyboarding. Kaido can't create Lightning. Those are just Conqueror's Haki special effects. It is depicted as lightning for viewers to differentiate who is using what. Even Luffy's Conqueror's Haki is shown as sparks of Lightning. It's all special effects. Lightning users in OP are GOAT ENEL and Nami with clima takt & Zeus.

I still don't think Shanks chose Luffy or just trusted him with the fruit. When Luffy snuck off and ate it, his path was set. Shanks wanted to get the One Piece with his own crew. Roger told Shanks after he found it that the world was waiting on somebody else, but it ain't you cuz.. Lol. I think Shanks is salty about that one and stole the fruit so any supposed "savior" would have to take the fruit from him. Luffy was already behind enemy lines. Lol. Shanks basically had no choice but to see why Roger trusted an unknown Luffy over him.
