With the five tens you can tuck the laces under the other laces

Great shoe from Spez 2FO, have the Fiveten free rider as well, but they are a little to wide for feet, the Spez are a little more narrow :)

They feel really grippy and I’ve been riding through wet, muddy and sandy streams with all this rain in SoCal. 🥶 Haven’t slipped yet.

@@MrMysto I just bought the Leatt DBX 3.0’s as well. I tried on the 510’s but felt the Leatt’s were a lot more comfortable for my wider foot. Super comphy, super sticky and great build quality. I think the Leatt’s are right there at the top for best mountain bike shoe available right now.

Sk8 shoes are too flimsy. You're feet will be killing you after the first few miles. Try 5/10's first. They are tried and true. Then, a few months or years later look for something else. You'll always have your 5/10s for back up. They're just not aesthetically pleasing.

Five10 needs to get a little perspective, so do any manufacturers that charge 100 bucks for freaking sneakers. Shimano has the SH-GR500 for 50 bucks on amazon.

I do have the the Giro ones... I am bit disappointed, although they are good looking, light, but....the grip is rather weak :/ Couple of times they slipped on the mtb trail.

I own the north waves. The leather began tearing after a week of LIGHT use. Both shoes were completely torn after a month. I think the problem is that they are way too flexible. The tear occurs where they flex while walking.
