For a lot of people, fly fishing feels like a very complicated and expensive hobby. But it doesn't have to be, especially if you're just starting out! Today I set out to find a GOOD choice for beginning your fly fishing adventures. Cheap enough to not hurt if you hate it, and good enough to be a rod you enjoy using in a few years if you stick with it.

I love mine, just passed it on to my son so he can start learning. Graphite rods are way faster, but this little rod can cast drys delicately and won't break the bank or make you cry if you break it lol!

Man, I've been tying flies since I started fly fishing almost 20 years ago now and I still find myself reaching for a betts popper whenever I'm out on a summer day. Loving the videos man!

I believe the eagle claw featherlight is a good rod for the money and you can never go wrong with a scientific anglers line. Reel it's not dispensable and flies are up ti you. Great video by the way.
