I love that you show economy strategies. My kids come with us on trips and I just can't rock business class which is what most people seem to show.
@NurseMichaelTravels8 ай бұрын
Thank you! I’m happy to do it, pretty sure most of everyone who makes content flies economy 80-90% of the time, unfortunately the business class content tends to get the attention. But I like to make it because sometimes the cheap business class flight doesn’t always mean a cheap economy flight! Kudos for taking your children, my fiance and I are always impressed when seeing families fly and intimidated by the idea 😂

Great walkthrough!! Didn’t know Flying Blue was so family friendly with the discounts 👍🏼

What a great, informative series, Micheal. Didn't know Flying Blue allowed stopovers for no extra points. Sharer this with family for a trip we're planning!

Love your videos, thx! 3 fun facts: 1. Last summer the same cash fare flying KLM back to MSP booked on KL priced more than double $$ on AF’s site. Scary inconsistency. 2. For a while (maybe still) phone app showed more availability than website. Gotta love their IT. …can’t remember the third 😂

lol thank you for this! I've always noticed people tend to like Air France more but I've had a hard time finding any real reasons, so this is helpful! I always run into issues with one website so I always end up using both at some point.

Great video, I find it beneficial to transfer the bonus if you have tons of miles. Cheers

Thanks! That point definitely makes sense

Great vid, Michael. No, I don't transfer points speculatively. Maybe, if I lived by a major hub or most flew one particular airline.
@NurseMichaelTravels8 ай бұрын
Good points! I think I only would if Hyatt ever had a transfer bonus 🤑😂

New subscriber here! I can’t get the calander view to show the amount each day. I followed leaving date blank….
@NurseMichaelTravels6 ай бұрын
Thank you for subscribing! And you’re unfortunately not the only one. KLM/Flying Blue has been on the fritz and the calendar view hasn’t been working recently on either websites. No ones sure if it’s a permanent issue or temporary. I’ve been using Points Yeah’s daydream explorer as an imperfect substitute. SeatSly would be a better-ish replacement but it’s not free. Hopefully it comes back on soon!

Thank you for the tips to navigate Flying Blue. My question is about Sky Team - can I book a US domestic flight using my KL Flying Blue points? For example NYC/SLC round trip on Delta? Thanks to help me navigate the alliance carrier aspect of the loyalty program. Bedankt/Merci
@NurseMichaelTravels2 ай бұрын
Your welcome! And yes you can, but availability is not guaranteed. The quick tip would be to check the route and date on PointsYeah.com and they should check it all for you. Long explanation can be found in this video where I talk about the 4 different ways to book Delta Flights : kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpC1ma2Zi8yrh7csi=G_rS6r5SXMnOz1aM

Are there any flying blue promis available for premium economy?
@NurseMichaelTravels2 ай бұрын
@@Picklerickyi not this month from the US that I saw sadly. Most premium economy promos I see are to different destinations like Africa or from Europe to somewhere else
@williamfeliciano60038 ай бұрын
KLM only good for Europe ?
@NurseMichaelTravels8 ай бұрын
Actually no, I do mention them in as an honorable mention as a way to fly to Bali in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZ-qeKltoLWqoposi=MT4qbcqhWjtiUzYD - but they are really long flights which can be made easier to digest with a stopover in Europe. But because they're in the SkyTeam alliance they also have some award space with China Airlines. I'll have to make another video for that! They can also be a solid option for flights to Africa!

Just booked 4 people jfk > Bangkok economy for 122k points and then we booked premium economy from Beijing to jfk on the way back for 190k. Regular economy was 170k and well worth the upgrade of 20k total for 4 people.
