Hi Ashley, my fave market is in Rotterdam, we have a huge market every tuesday and saturday here in the center, and also our markethal. In another areas we have markets, but i've not been there for years. It's nice to see this vlog and see you enjoy biking in Paris and enjoy the market. If you have the time to visit Rotterdam this summer, you are welcome!

The main thing about a galette is that it’s made with buckwheat, so has a darker colour. They are commonly savoury, but you can have a sweet one too. Crêpes can be sweet or savoury but are the “normal” colour as they use wheat flour.
@WingingItWithAsh2 жыл бұрын
David thank you so much for the explanation. I think I’d stick with the sweeter of the two when having a sweet crepe! ;)

@David Smith Beat me to it. I was introduced to galettes at Flunch. - love 'em!
@Nubianette2 жыл бұрын
@@WingingItWithAsh the galette (like gal) will be savory. If you want something sweet, they would use the light wheat flour. There wouldn’t be a question. There’s a bit more flexibility with the wheat. The 1st time I went to France, 30 years ago, I could only afford crêpes. It was the cheapest, tastiest food. Have you heard of the KZbin channel Les Frenchies? There might be some spots you’d like to check out.

I find that quite rude because at least we try; they can't expect all tourists to be fluent in French for a short trip. They also don't know that we might be learning other languages other than English.

Well, Paris is a big city and people are more stressed there, like in every big city worlwide. I guess that the Parisians are to the French what the New Yorkers are to the Americans.
