It looks very satisfying and planted, I likey! I own a Miata now and of course it's fun but RWD isn't the total game changer I expected; honestly some of the best driving experiences I've had have been in FWD cars, FWD is underrated and can do amazing things when tuned properly as Melvin and his Focus demonstrate 👍

Great to see dedication from an owner in building such a tool (#ringtool), makes a refreshing change from all the supercar (crappy driver) dross you see on Nurburgring content. Also good to see a pro that relies on the 'ring for their daily bread respecting the speed restriction areas and great timing showing exactly why! Top marks for that.

Oooof what a piece of kit. The sounds! Great video, as per! Looked quite friendly/accessible for a 400bhp fwd car? Some utter cockwombles going through the speed limit though...5 seconds earlier and they’d have hit that car entering.

Man, what a machine. You can see how stable it is just from watching the footage. I myself started my track car build a years ago and seeing this build blows my mind knowing how much time and effort has been put into it. I can also relate to "go with the best directly" as I've also gone half-ass on parts in previous builds and then some time later they become the weak link and you want to upgrade. Awesome lap. Very inspiring with the true meaning of the word in mind

I'm so lucky to have driven so many cool cars here, a lot of the time it's about having fun with my friends. The enjoyment is coming from lots of stuff, not just the car. For example, some of the Yaris laps with the #club1000 gang are easily in my top five best ever laps. Also the first time I drove the Project 8 properly, lap-record, fast... the GT86 Cup car in the wet on the slicks, taking a podium from the car ahead of us. Loads. I do enjoy a Caterham with a race motor though!

@@BTGDale That's a top list. It's good to hear that you didn't rattle off the expensive factory cars and super cars. I get what you mean by fun. I used to be a van driver many years ago in a 2.0 litre petrol Toyota Hiace. Powersliding in 3rd gear in the wet on roundabouts was a hoot and still makes me chuckle!
