Pawal, you certainly have great taste in model airplanes! In all, I have seven Ritewing Draks of all sizes and states of build, repair, disrepair and one beyond hope of ever being repaired, lol. I have two large Draks, three mini Draks (1 in box, 1 built and 1 lost somewhere in Southeast Texas?) and two nano's (1 in box, 1 totaled in a crash\fire). I like to think I'm helping put Chris Klick's kids through college. Lately, I haven't flown much, but your video is very inspiring, so maybe this weekend I can get another Drak in the air and see if I can also bring it home again... Cheers!

I've got two large draks myself, one finished one still in the box as a backup. Also have a z2.5 and epp zxl. Also putting Klick's kids through college haha.

The durability is no joke, particularly if you laminate the airframe or use E6000 to seal the fuselage. I crashed mine into the side of a mountain and the air frame had only minor damage. Some folks don't like the coroplast, but I consider these to be expendable. They handle crashes much better than balsa but are easily replaced when they do wear out. They are also a lot lighter than other options.

A bit-O-Waggle, but very good. I like the Volantex Ranger1600, 2000, 2400. Smooth, efficient, cheap, pretty tough, snap on wings, carries bunch of mah, fits in my trunk. Twin or pusher configuration. A bit of adverse yaw that is tamed by an effective rudder. Wide speed range.

I run my battery way to the front to get CG. Might be worth trying moving your battery forward to get rid of the hunting yours seems to do ?

It really flies smooth, doesn't it, Pawel? 😃 And it's a pretty beautiful bird as well!!! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I agree its the coolest wing out there but its not the most convenient due to the landing distance requirements.

Is thzat wobbliness and bounciness wind or just par for the course with a flying wing. Also which is more fun to fly, this ir your 7" quad? I want to eventually get a LR wing as I already have the DJI goggles and Cross setup on the ground.

I have an ar wing for my first plane. But I want something that will hold a GoPro for my next plane

Unfortunately I don't think the Mini Drak is available for purchase, at least not for shipment to the USA that I can find.

Interesting there is yaw waggle, I would not have expected that on such a pointy premium plane... (the Dart XL-E does not yaw waggle)

The video title is highly subjective, of course. Some people like larger planes that fly longer. Some like sub 250g for legality issues. Some people like traditional planes that have camera pan/tilt capability. etc etc.

But now you'll have to find the link to this video instead of just saying "mini drak". I can't help feel you've shot yourself in the foot here.

Considering how expensive this model is, that God awful Correx for Fins and covers is appalling TBH....I believe they are still using it too... Unbelievable.
@mitchellmiller78134 жыл бұрын
I want the Drak enough to pay the asking price... but not with that Correx. One could make their own replacement, sure - but I wouldnt. In my opinion its actually offensive that Ritewing can do as well as they do with sales (despite the price), but for some reason either don't respect - or don't appreciate - their clients well enough to improve on such a small but atrocious flaw.
@Just-A-Guy-Learning4 жыл бұрын
@@mitchellmiller7813 because the majority of us like the correx. Why would they make changes for the minority like yourself.
@EnglishTurbines4 жыл бұрын
@@mitchellmiller7813 Yes, exactly this, however folk like Knucklehead here keep entertaining their cheapskate ways...
@jcjrdigital55704 жыл бұрын
@@EnglishTurbines It's extremely expensive to even have a batch of these planes made so for a smaller company like Ritewing you have to look for cost effective means. I like the correx personally but if it isn't your thing putting on 3d printed covers is also an option.
