It seemed like such an obvious thing to me, why limit ourselves to what we can capture with a microphone? :) Now I just gotta finish cramming all this new tech into a VST plugin to share with you all, so that everyone can start twisting and mangling their own IRs!

@@GhostNoteAudio Actually, I was wondering for a while now, why everybody was still limiting themselves to going through "real" hardware to create their IRs. I would love to see some kind of IR-design-studio software that allows users to create their own IRs from scratch. IMO that is the future of IRs - everything is allowed, as long as the result sounds great. Keep up the good work!

You can take any short wav file and make an ir . take a short clip of white noise eq the way you want it to sound and boom you have an ir

There's the good ol' HyBrit by Lepou. Then there's also JessieM X100 from Vadim. Nalex also has JCM800 in both Amplex and TrueSim. I actually have all of them, but haven't tested them 'cos I have sooo many (free!) plugins 😵💫
