First of all the reason why they owe Frenkie 17 million is because his salary is around 20 million which is the highest salary in the club currently and that is all thanks to the previous board who gave highly lucrative contracts to all players for no particular reason. On the other hand Lewandowski would have a wage around 8-9 million per year which is as much as what many other Barcelona players receive. So those 31 million in 2 years mentioned above are impossible to happen.

Sucks for Bayern because they have to replace him, and that won't be easy. But from a financial stand point, it's a win. Got him for free, 8 good years of goals and trophies. And sold him for 50m€. I think it's a bad idea to go to Barca at the moment. And I think it's stupid of Barca to spend so much on a player who will be good for maybe a few more years before declining. They should be focusing on young stars not aging talent. They need to make money quick somehow to buy back all the TV rights etc that they sold.
