I am 74 years old and because of many health issues can no longer actively work with horses. I have for 30 years been active with Hanoverians and Arabians as well as other types, and I miss it! I watch your videos because your horses are among the most beautiful in the world, and you bring me into your lives. The King of Friesians Stallions, Jasper 366 passed away in January of this year at the age of 28. I want to take a moment to remember him & his epic, unparalleled beauty & grace. Jasper was an incredible stallion all around. What a show-stopper he was!! He will be missed.🌷🐴🪽

I am a 76 yo retired psych nurse. I have a few physical complaints, but am fairly healthy. I dreamed of having my own horse from the time I was a child, and did get to go horseback riding only less than 10 times growing up. Your videos help me rest my mind in this turbulent world. Oh my goodness my eyes don’t know where to look the stallion’s are magnificent for me my top favorites will always be Jasper 366(across the rainbow bridge 🥺)Jurre 495 stallion champion for the last 5 years and sire to the lovely Jacobien and last but not least Nane 492 I’m so glad that we were able to see him the only thing I can say is he 💯 KNOWS that there’s a camera in him with some very special guests watching and boy did he put on a show just a magnificent stallion. I guess after so much practice at inspection you know how much your public adores you how good you look I think he enjoyed seeing fans. I love watching the videos to see the horses interact with each other, the people interact with each other, and the horses and people interacting together. Seeing the relationships between all is so beautiful, and seeing the countryside, too. Of course, learning about Friesian horses and the culture is part of the enjoyment, but it is mainly the relationships of the horses and people. 💕

I first heard of Friesian horses as a child from my horse obsessed friend and neighbour, Diane. Her parents had emigrated from the Netherlands to Canada and her father had worked with horses when he was younger. Diane aspired to have a Friesian but had to make do with her black Shetland pony. She kept her love of horses throughout her life and operated a therapeutic riding stable prior to her untimely death from cancer.

Why do I watch these videos? It is not becasue I have always wanted to own a horse. In fact, I was scared of horses. But then somehow I came across the video of Uniek and Rising Star meeting and I was hooked. The loveliness of that relationship endeared me to those particular horses. Now, as I have watched over the last cople of years I see that horses are not scary. They have personalities, likes and dislikes, desires.... etc. I like seeing how humans interact with these horses. Also, Yvonne is a charming teacher of all things "horse". I think if I had the opportunity to ride a horse now I would not be so afraid. Thanks for the education and entertainment.

One of the things that I love about KZbin is that you can be exposed to so many adventures and topics that you don’t know anything about. I refer to it as KZbin University. I remember very clearly the first time I saw Friesian Horses on KZbin. It was, possibly, Yvonne leading a group of 2 y/o from one pasture to another, along the road, perhaps riding Unique. That was four or five years ago. What the owner of the stud that you visited in this video says is so true that people that want to do the right thing for the breeding of a particular animal can reach out and can continue to promote the health and the security of the animals that we love! I cannot tell you how thrilled I am Yvonne that you were at a point in your recovery where you can build your indoor outdoor arena and you can go on stall tours and help all of us be exposed to the most wonderful creatures. Whether it’s Daisy and Glendy and Spidey or its animals seven times their weight and height, we all love it. It is interesting to me that we are so used to seeing the mares and foals at stall G and now to see the stallions and their necks! A stallions neck is just the most amazing thing to me. What hormones can do. Thank you.

I have always loved the Friesian horses after seeing pictures of my grandfather on the farm in Friesland back in the 1920s-30s. He Left the NDL for Canada after that. How nice to meet some of the other people important to continuing the Friesian breed. One of the reasons I enjoy your videos, aside from pure joy in the beauty of personality and movement of the breed, is that I just love immersing myself in the day to day of life with Friesians. I know others may be very excited by the inspections. And I understand that they are important for maintaining the characteristics of the breed, but I really want to just experience the individual horses. Nane492 has the most gorgeous neck I think I have ever seen on any stallion, of any breed. His movement in liberty horse mode is stunning! I watch your videos mainly to see my favorite breed of horses. I started reading about Friesians in my teens after I saw the movie Lady hawk. I have day dreamed my own imaginary stallion ever since. He even has a name, though he is only a dream. Obsidian Dancer. Obi for a nickname. I still dream as an adult that I am riding him.
