Eddie Gray - Leeds United legend on the pitch and multiple champion. Fucking horrible commentator. Ben Parker - highlight was League One semi. = Great enthusiasm on the mic, probably much cheaper. No brainer.

I think looking back I don't think we were quite ready for the prem as much as it sounds stupid to say. Another solid year a few signings and we'll be ready for it next season by winning the league. To go from 13th one season to go straight to the prem would have been a big ask I think. But now we are ready

Can’t wait for next season, we’ve had some brilliant memories this season just gone, Villa away, Blackburn at home and Pablo’s goal against West Brom after only 16 seconds. It’s the best season we’ve had since I’ve been going. Looking forward to this summer and next season. I’m proud of how far the club has come in the last few years and this season just gone, we’ve come such a long way this season under Marcelo. I’m delighted he’s staying for next season, it’s cheered all of us up now. Next season is going to be the season 🤞

Villa fan here. Love these goals. Leeds under Bielsa have been fantastic, playing the best football in the league with some limited players in key positions. Bielsa backed with money and you lot coming back up next season would be a great thing for football.

It is May, 2029. A decade on from the takeover by Qatar Sports Investors. Despite a shock loss to Man City in the FA Cup semi-final (and City now favourites to win that competition for the 13th time), reigning European champions Leeds United are still on track to retain the league title as they play at home to old rivals Manchester United, who are themselves fighting off both relegation and debt collectors as the former world champions are now over $2bn in the red. The 62,000 capacity Qatar Airways Arena is buzzing and full to the rafters with thousands of Leeds fans, minor celebrities, Chinese tourists in half and half scarves, and anyone else lucky enough to be able to afford a £79 ticket in the upper tier of the west stand - recently renamed the Marcelo Bielsa Stand; the tickets are so relatively cheap because they replaced all the seats with blue buckets. These are uncertain economic times as the UK has still not left the EU, following the 28th extension of Article 50. The scoring is swiftly opened at the three minute mark, as £450m January signing Mbappe shows he's still at his peak as he slots the ball past a flailing Max Schmeichel, after a neat assist by England captain Jack Clarke. The lifelong Leeds fans erupt and the Chinese tourists look up from their phones and enthusiasticially wave their Liverpool and Barcelona flags. Man Utd manager Paul Scholes looks unsurprised. He's only three games into the job after taking over from sacked Paul Heckingbottom, but the Old Trafford legend has already run out of ideas, he runs his hands through his grey hair and shouts instructions to captain Romeo Beckham, who can't hear him due to the noise caused by all the drones flying above - delivering portions of chips to people in the family stand who can't wait until half time. The corporate boxes, built by Ken Bates (who died in 2021 after trying to swallow a wad of own money so it wouldn't be taxed) are full too - as our trillionaire Qatari owners host VIPs King Charles III and his bald Aston Villa supporting son, William, Prince of Wales. They are all trying to explain the rules to Donald Trump (who this year declared himself emperor for life after desolving the US government), who is still demanding to know why they the players can't pick it up with their hands and why the referees in this country don't carry guns. A lifelong Leeds fan looks on, sweltering in the 32 degree heat (a typical spring temperature in Leeds these days since the North Pole melted). They remember the days of losing to Tranmere at home in League One, getting bested by nobodies and dumped out of the Johnstones Paint Trophy on a freezing night in a near empty Elland Road. Doncaster at Wembley, Histon, Bates, Cellino, the heartbreak of the 2018/19 season. They wonder what might have been had Andrea Radrizzani decided to stubbornly hold on to his majority stake, sold our young talent, lost Bielsa that summer and went on to see his five-year plan culminating in Leeds finishing 12th in the Championship. But they remember the pitch invasion in 2010. They remember when it was Dirty Leeds against the world. They remember the thrill of standing with other diehard Leeds fans and sticking it to the away fans, who were themselves diehard fans of their own team and sticking it right back to us too. They remember the warm feeling of doing the salute to someone wearing a Leeds shirt in Tesco and having it reciprocated without a word spoken, whereas now they try it with a glory supporting child in a Leeds away shirt they see on holiday - and they get a blank stare and a warning from the police. They wonder how special it is to be Leeds when millions of people who've never set foot in Yorkshire share the glory when they don't fully understand what it is to support a club rather than follow a team. They wonder if it was worth it... MOT

Why do LUTV always use the most dreary boring commentators? The main guy always sounds like he's smoked 8 joints until we score and then he screams so loud it hurts your eardrums, Eddie Gray just whines and says "Y'know" 5 billion times a game and Noel Whelan is the biggest cock on planet earth, one of the worst Premier League players we ever had and yet all he does is slag off our modern players, and during the games all he says is "get in, get in, get in" does he know any other words?. Come on LUTV, get some proper commentators in, someone with a bit of flair and spark, we have the dullest set of pundits in the UK.
