Mate!! Hands down the best review on anything i have ever watched. You covered everything and a lot of information most people wont understand but its there if they do. Well done and thank you.

Great review and always appreciate the detailed testing data and couple of months of real world experience you do. I almost got the AC200P last year to replace my EB70, but couldn’t see the value in it for my use as it still used a non-smart AC charger that was loud whether it was charging 0W or 200+W. It looks like the AC200L thoroughly solves this by having a much smarter built-in AC charging system that only makes noticeable cooling fan sounds when it makes sense, like on higher loads or to reduce increasing temperature. I’ve personally gone all Victron gear, but I’ll be recommending the AC200L to family and friends who want a practical all in one system for starting out with in their home or for 2nd battery replacements on the road 👍

It’s impressive. I just recently bought the itechworld P1300 it works fine for my purposes.

Nice. That's the thing with these power stations, they all have their pro's and con's and the right one for you is the one that ticks the boxes that you need it for. 👍 Glad to hear the iTechWorld is performing well though!

Thanks Nathan, I took your advice and held back until the AC200L became available. I’m loving it, such a wonderful all in one unit - perfect for my current Ute RTT camper, future slide on camper and then even converted van. So versatile- no need for all those individual components ! I may think up (and build) a box with DC output 48-12 step down to Anderson plug(s) and DC input via voltage step up into DC solar input.

Awesome, I'm glad to hear that this route worked out. This AC200L is definitely a step above the older units and has many small advantage that make a big difference. I definitely agree with the step up converter though, would make a big difference to charing from a 12V source. 👍

Another excellent review Nathan. I have the AC200max and love it, it copes with induction cooktop , coffee machine, fridge and freezer no problems at all. The only comment I would make is if you close off the app whilst remote, it requires internet connection to connect back to unit. Maybe it’s me, have you experienced this issue. Cheers
@XploringOz
@XploringOz 11 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, they sure are great units and glad to hear the AC200MAX is still going 💪 I have not had that issue with this new 200L. I have been able to monitor and control the unit away from the unit whilst it's at home. Further, when I had the power outage and my internet went down it was very easy to switch to Bluetooth connectivity to keep local connection 👍

The screen at @6:53 seems to have a setting for AC Frequency, defaulted to 50hz, can we change this to 60hz for use in another country eg Philippines?

Great review as always. I can't wait for the addition of a couple of Anderson plugs and potentially a DC-DC charger inbuilt to increase in car charging rates. Cheers 🍻
@XploringOz
@XploringOz 11 ай бұрын
Thanks mate. My gut feeling is that they probably won't add an Anderson plug anytime soon as this predominately a Aus demand and the market is much larger overseas. The idea of a built in DCDC charger is a great idea and would 100% solve that vehicle 12V charging issue 👍

Good review, particularly when you stack up all the componentry that you would need otherwise. Whilst i haven't invested in induction hobs, still on gas, I keep on trying to work out whether I have the demand for the power output that these different units provide. But it does get one thinking of the potential change that is possible. For balance have you tested any other comparable unit that comes close or surpasses the Bluetti? Thanks again for your thought provoking video 👍

Thanks mate. It is interesting to see how far these have come and the capability they have. Bluetti make so many different models with different output ratings and battery capacities, there really is something for everyone. I have played around with a couple of other models from 2 other companies before, however haven't had the chance to do an in-depth review like I have with these units. The EcoFlow units are great quality and produce good results too! 👍

Downfall of this vs the kickass kick charge is the lack of anderson inputs. Especially for camping, bluetti need to put more anderson options in any of their next models

I have a Reconn R4T LRX but only have 400Ah of battery as I have a disc brake control unit where a third battery would normally go. What are your thoughts of one of these as an alternative to lugging around a generator (e.g. Honda EU22i) for top ups when I may be camped up in overcast conditions for a few days and the van batteries get a bit low. I assume I could charge the Reconn via the 240V shore power point and AC Output. I would have the ability to plug the Bluetti into solar blankets when conditions improve and/or into the car when going for day trips without the van.

Are you sure this is equivalent to 170 ah ??? , 2,048 watt-hours divided by the 51 volts gives exactly 40 Amp-hours

Hey Nathan, Just wondering if it would be possible to hook up your car to the PV input, (obviously a short cable run with enough capacity to handle 100amp at 12v or similar). I can see that it’s the same input for the standard cig socket, I’m guessing that in PV input will only input the maximum amount of power when the voltage is higher.

Thanks for the review! Maybe somebody here knows!? I want to be able turn on/off the solar charging from a distance [with wifi]. Can you do that with this unit? Apart from using the unit on the move, I want to use it at home. Hook up a solar panel, and be able to turn on or of the solar charging from lets say my work. The problem with just hooking it up before sun rise [leave for work early], the solar panel will activate the unit, but the first few hours there isnt enough sun hitting the panel....probably resulting in relais clicking on and off for a few hours. Maybe even depleting it instead of charging it.

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed this one. Depends on how you would connect the DCDC charger into the battery. If it was through 12V unfortunately it would still be quite slow as you're limited by the input on the Bluetti.

Thankyou very much for the deep dive in the review, learnt so much and the information you shared has helped me to choose as I was thinking the Itech PS2000 but now I like the features on the Bluetti that you outlined so I will purchase the 200L , would you suggest purchasing off Bluetti or a 3rd party like My Generator ? Thanks again Nathan for the information you shared from your testing , great detail cheers Darrel

Further, depends on when you read this comment, but I don't believe places like mygenerator are stocking the 200L as yet? www.bluettipower.com.au/products/ac200l-portable-power-station?ref=XPLORINGOZ Thanks again mate 👍

The one thing that annoys me on all these units is how slow they charge from a DC power source. When I go for a drive, I want it to charge as quick as possible before I return to camp. I would love it if the unit had an Anderson plug, and can charge at 50 amp per hour from my auxiliary lithium battery.
@XploringOz

For sure, but as I mentioned in this video there are some very cost effective ways to get around this issue. I have also forwarded on these concerns to Bluetti themselves and here's hoping they may be able to incorporate step up converters in future models. Cheers.

Can you please speak in plain language. For example what will 10amps, or watts do??? Can you say what type of product this can run and for how long, say a microwave - how long can this be run in one day, how long can a small fridge be run. I'm looking for a solar generator for my rental property.

By far the crappiest power station on the market. Don’t buy this for off grid use. Don’t buy a Bluetti unless you want food poisoning. Been around since 2019 - what a joke. You would think that after that many years the company would have built a decent product, have fairly good quality control practices, fairly well trained customer service representatives. I’ve had nothing but problems since I got mine. Erratic issues power on power off. Stupid ridiculous charging length. Erratic unexpected discharge. When I get my Ecoflow this POC will be binned.
