Hi, My name is Gary, I'm 72 and semi-retired from gigging. Now I like to build/mod/restore guitars in my small home shop. I agree with your price for work. My prices are also influenced by attitude and ability to pay. LOL I also take parts removed, trade in's, exceptional deals, make them easily playable and donate them to "guitars for vets". This one looks like a candidate for that! All of these sub $200 guitars are a lot better than what we had to work with in the late 60's!! The "Sire" brand are as good as the Gibsons and Fenders of the 70's, at $600!! First time here, I enjoyed your video! Good luck with everything!! Peace, --gary

Hey Man! Really enjoyed this. Just your positive outlook and passion for guitars with all you're going through is inspiring! I'm 54, and someday when I grow up I hope to play like you! Love it! I have been buying, modding and gigging budget guitars since COVID, and I'm done spending Thousands on brand names! With some attention and a few upgrades, these are every bit as capable! Rock on and I pray for good health and complete recovery for you brother! God Bless and keep rockin'!

Thanks not only for the review, but I found some strength I needed. About to hit 50 and my health feels the worst it’s been. Had surgery and still not feeling right. Was a bit low in spirit, but your willingness to fight lifted me up. I appreciate you. Was considering to stop gigging soon, but I’ll rethink that.

You play very well and that may be what is impressing me but the guitar sounds frigging great. For the price of dinner for 3 I thought I would give it a try. I could always just have it tuned in DADGAD and keep my other tele as is. If I really like it I can put a set of Twang Kings and a 4 way switch in it like my other tele. Gotta love the tele, so simple and pure. No floating bridge BS I have 2 strats that gather dust along with the Reverends and Gibsons. All I play is the Tele and the PRS DGT these days. Its enough. Best luck on your health situation from another sufferer of different chronic debilitating health conditions that have one eventual result. Music is one of the one thing that can still elevate my spirit these days. Not much else holds value to me other than family.

Out of the box, your guitar is set up exactly where I set mine, 1.75 in the low E, and between 1.5 and 1.75 on the high E. From what I've seen on KZbin, that guitar company seems to have its stuff together.

Positive thoughts headed your way from my dog (she beat cancer) and me :) Very nice playing, which is appreciated when someone is reviewing a guitar (of any price). No T-style guitars listed on Amazon. Hopefully that's a temporary issue, cuz I'd like to snag one of these. Those stock pups don't sound bad. The Lollars have more going on as you'd expect, but for $160 those pups sound pretty decent. Teles are so much fun!

Got a lefty TE 62DB last week...Roswells are decent, the guitar is AMAZING....(same on my TE-52)...but you can do MUCH better with 'better' pups....Fralin or Lollars or McNelly's...others too. Pups make a world of difference. I also remove tone pot from neck...add brass saddles...love my budget Teles (CV's, HB) as much as my higher end ones...Mex, Japan, USA (G&L, LSL TBone , Pro 2, and even a Custom Shop). Get some....

Well done demo of an interesting Tele guitar. I see they've already raised the price to $200, but still a good deal I'd say. Nice that the neck pup rout can fit a p90 or humbucker, that's clever! I like what I can see of the relicing, it looks pretty realistic. What kind of paint? Nitro by any chance? Excellent playing as well; I can tell you've been at it for a lifetime! Speaking of which, best wishes for your recovery. I've been dealing with some potentially terminal health issues myself; not fun at all... If I wasn't already at the point of already liquidating most of my stable, I might get one of these as a modding platform; although I think that I've done all the mods that I'd ever want/need to do. (Though that could just be the illness talking...) My favorite mod I've done is my 27" baritone Coodercaster 'hog TL with a 50s Rickenbacker horseshoe magnet pickup at the bridge and a 60s Teisco goldfoil at the neck. I've never played a Tele that sounds quite so good!

So it looks like it could use a better three way switch, and definitely CTS or Bourns pots. Those look like the mini pots, but couldn't tell for sure. If so, I'd replace them. I know that the smaller pots are probably fine, as long as the quality is there, but there's a psychological element. Hope your treatment is successful. I have a good friend who was given her cancer diagnosis and six months to live back in 2015. She opted to go the unconventional route and did a lot of research, found some promising if unconventional treatments. She's still alive and doing well to this day. It's her opinion that if she'd gone with the chemo, she wouldn't be here today. Make of that what you will, but if nothing else, take it to say cancer is *not* a death sentence. I wish you the best.

The ceramic pickups sound remarkably close to the Lollers, but the Fojill seems to either have a little less sustain or else the pickups are a little more biting? Either way, it sounds like an extraordinary guitar for under $20. As always, you're playing is smoooooth

Im fortunate to own and couple of vintage Fender Teles and a Squire 40th anniversary Tele. On youtube, the 40th anniversary has been given, by all the channels who basically cut and paste each others revenues, criticism for its neck pick up, muddy they all say, i think its sounds Vintage. To my ears the Fojlll neck pup sounds very vintage 50s Where as the Blevins neck pup, in my opinion, is too bright. So my points go to the Fojlll here. To keep things budget i might swop out neck for a Squire maple. Great review, sweet playing. First time here, subbed.👍🏼

great review, The Lollar tele did have a maple fretboard so I guess thats going to make it a tad brighter, having said that the Fojill had quite a nice mellower tone that I felt was very useable as is. I guess if you're buying a similar style guitar in this case a tele you really dont want to have 2 guitars that sound the same.....there is no point in that so I think the Fojill offers another sound palette there.

I have the Strat version, light relic mahogany body and I LOVE it. The radius of the neck is super flat, which takes some getting used to. Also, the electronics were the same cheap garbage that comes in all budget Strats, so I put together a loaded pickguard with alnico v pickups and a wiring harness with big 500k pots and thick braided wires. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's nearly as good as my MIM Fender Strat. I paid $120 for the guitar on eBay and probably like $80 on upgrades.
