Thank you so much, Dennis, for another year! I started watching your pedal demos in 2010 when I was at university. Back then you were the only reviewer on the heavy side of the music spectrum and therefore my only reliable source to get the "real" sound of a pedal. I still love your OKKO Dominator and DAM Meathead demos and occasionally come back just for the tunes. Your hunt for the Schumann PLL and a little encounter I had with you at the Musikding forum are part of the reasons I minored in electrical engineering (the other part might have been not having any money to buy pedals). Unfortunately it didn't work as planned. Because in the end I have plenty of fuzzes and bitcrushers but still no PLL. And nowadays even the PLL clones are sold out. I think I have to start over where I left 10 years ago and try to get in contact with the DIMEHEAD guys... ;) Happy new year!

The JRocket Designs Clockwork in the best new Delay of 2022 in my opinon. Your list ans a very limited scope. The Crazy Tube Circuits Unobtainium, the 1981 DRV, JHS OC71 Boost, Music Box Pedals Klone Drive should have all been heavily considered for this list.

Your top pick is A. an updated clone/version DMM B. Hideous decade-too-late-steampunk-middleaged dad aesthetic. B. Has falsely advertised stereo which is dual mono C. Has serious phase/input-mix levels issues that even the company has owned up to and is the reason everyone trades or sells the pedal unless they’re just using it in the studio. THEN you claim the list is limited scope and name off 4 dirt pedals-Some of which came out years ago and some which have been pedalboard standards for almost half a decade. Who are you?
