Purchased both oils and Castor oil as a carrier. Did the treatment exactly as explained the initial ever so slight tingling actually felt nice & almost can I say soothing. Wrapped my hair & slept with the treatment on. Got to say I have tried some very expensive conditioning treatments but none have had the result that this little prescription of yours gave me. My 72 year old hair feels fabulous & this is going to become a once a week treat to myself. Thank you, seriously impressed

I am 76 years old, platinum white hair...no color on it...its natural since I was 45. I was taking a medication for rheumatoid arthritis that caused my super thick hair to thin out majorly so now I'm off that med and I am going g to try this. Thank you Tammy BTW, I love your hair that long. Mine has been growing 2 years and is past my shoulders. Who says we cant wear our hair super long after 60??? Poo on them!

Thank you for saying that the scalp needs care, which includes washing it often (even daily). I have tried to convince everyone I know that a clean hair follicle (a suffocated follicle 😃) prevents it from shedding so often!!! Love your channel. I am 53 and follow your advice.

Tammy, you are absolutely a beautiful person and your hair is so amazing. When you were parting your hair and putting on the oil, I noticed that you had a lot of beautiful grey/white hair underneath. I could totally envision you with long, beautiful, healthy grey/white hair. You would be such an amazing ambassador for promoting ‘ageless beauties’ getting off the colouring roller coaster. I’m totally going to try the scalp treatment, I’ve noticed that after menopause my hair really thinned out and I’ve been trying to find something natural to try. Thank you so much for this video, you are such a pleasure to watch. BTW I’m going to be 60 in September and my hair is almost totally grey/white and I love the colour of it. Hope you and Lou are well and safe during this pandemic, such a strange year. 💖

I can't tell you how much I need this. I am using Nioxin and I feel like I want to ease off of it. OK, so the castor oil is being used as a carrier oil. lolol at a nurse taking better blood pressure than the doc. Your hair is really beautiful and I hear so many women tell me you are their go to hair person, as am I. I really loved this and will save it and be referring back to it often. Thanks so much, Tammy. I started using Nioxin for thinning hair. It made my hair fall out quicker. I've given up on it and the rate of loss has slowed down slightly. I have since discovered I have thyroid (underactive) issues and so the nioxin wouldn't have helped anyway. But I didn't expect it to make the hair fall out. When I checked it up lots of others have had the same issue. Pack in the nioxin girl. Castor oil is great to strengthen and thicken. I'd go with tammy's tips instead tbh.

@@bluecurlygirl I've been using the Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner No.1 for over a year now, and I haven't had any issues with hair fall out (other than normal). I don't use any other Nioxin treatments, only the shampoo and conditioner, and I really do like them. As a mater of fact, I just repurchased another set of the 1 litre bottles. It works really well for my fine hair, and I find the conditioner to be very good compared to others I've tried. I'm sorry it didn't work for you.

Just found you and I already love you 💕 I turned 53 on June 11 and I decided to turn over a new beautiful leaf instead of letting fugly thoughts beat me down! I have waist length healthy hair but I woke up yesterday realizing that I have totally ignored myself for way too long since this COVID19 began. In March I took on the very full time job of caring for our 4 grandchildren while my adult children work. It is a totally exhausting labor of love. I am blessed to be in a position financially that I am available to be a caregiver and help raise my babies babies 🥳🙏🌈, but I know I’ve been neglecting myself! I cannot afford a makeover so I’m trusting you to be my beauty mentor because well, you absolutely radiate beauty and for that I thank you by becoming a new subbie.

Thanks so much for this! I'm 56 with long hair (also the most complimented thing on me!) and slowly found my way to oils as a cleaner more economical choice. I use a combination of sweet almond, castor and avocado oils on the length of my hair (as much as possible on the ends) and ideally put it up and wash it some hours later. But I have found that even if I'm rushed or forget and just apply my mixture just before stepping in the shower - I still get a wonderful result. So for those who don't want, or can't, leave a treatment in for hours, definitely try a few minutes if that's all you have. I cannot use essential oils on my sensitive scalp but I have been using a mix of apple cider vinegar (Bragg's) and aloe vera inner fillet juice (1 part vinegar to 3 parts aloe) in a repurposed spray bottle and spray that on my scalp and massage in before applying the oils. I have also just started using an Aveda exfoliating scalp brush in between washes and have noticed some increased hair growth as well as a much healthier scalp. Thank you so much for sharing your treatment "recipes" and thank you for the inspiration of a mature woman who chooses to wear her beautiful hair long! Carolyn

Tammy, you are the high priestess of hair..your hair is glorious and your advice is spot-on. I have always had long hair and when I was a little girl my grandmother sat me down and gave me my first hot oil treatment. She used a cottonball saturated with warm olive oil and told me it was good for my hair and would make my hair shine. Over the years whenever my hair is having a problem or stressed I always reach for the warm olive oil treatment...it really works! ..Love you my long hair sister..Liz ❤️

I just wanted to say that I happen to be quite jealous of your beautiful, thick long hair. I agree with you that if you want to keep your hair long, then you can and should. I have no idea where people came up with the silliness that once a woman reaches a certain age she has to cut her hair. I’m over 40 and I have long hair too! I intend to keep it as well. If you want to cut your hair, then do it, if you don’t, then don’t. Thank you for this content.

You were my inspiration to grow my hair long. Can you imagine, a 74 year old (2 years ago) launching on a journey to have long hair? I've had fine short hair since the days of Dorothy Hammil cuts. So I realy had no idea how to maintain healthy long hair. I don't have your density but enjoy the versatility that longer styles offer. So thank you for giving me the courage to try something new and how to care for it.

If I wash everyday and then skip a day, my scalp gets oily quickly. It gets used to being washed less and evens out the oil production, which I think makes my hair healthier, but to each their own.

It's bad for your hair to wash every single day because the oils on our hair are necessary and to wash them away every day is bad however do what works for you! I wash my hair once a week and my hair loves it! I don't use any products and I use only sulfate free shampoo/conditioner. I also use henna for hair dye to cover grays (I'm 34 and prematurely graying). It does wonders for my hair as well!

My stylist told me NOT to wash my hair every day. Now if I exercise or feel it's gotten sweaty during the day, then yes, I will -- especially in the summer here in Texas. My youngest daughter washes hers every day because of her oil. Mine is very dry. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. But I wash it every other day and sometimes every two days in the winter. Just depends.

Regarding tangles and snapping Redkin Antisnap leave in is a game changer! Also their 24 spray in you don't rinse out. I only use oils for conditioning the scalp, commercial products are largely endocrine disrupters to name a few of the issues. Use commercial products, except shampoo of course, on the strands only. Made a huge difference with flaking etc. I have long natural blond hair but it is fine, I'm 63.

Great video Tammy. I just completed this process and I just have to say, it really made a difference when I dried my hair. I used the castor oil & essential oil on my scalp & on my strands I only used warmed castor oil. I have very thick, wavy/frizzy hair. However, after trying this all I can say is OMG. My hair blow dried so nicely, no frizz & the usual puffy thickness was gone. I will certainly do this again.

Really enjoyed this. I put oils on my hair every day. I use hazelnut oil after I've washed my hair as a leave in. This has really helped eliminate breakage. I no longer blow dry my hair either, too drying. I also mix caster oil and rosemary with my shampoo and leave it in my hair as I'm washing in the shower. It really soothes my scalp. I like the aloe vera idea you mentioned for dry scalp. Will definitely give that a try.

This video could not come at a better time and I thank you. I am 46 and have noticed thinning at the top of my scalp also in the shower a lot of hair comes out. I have not been washing my hair daily because every hair dresser says says that my hair is so dry not to ,however, you made perfect sense why wouldn't I? I wash my face every day. That was my aha moment. You missed your calling, you are a wonderful teacher! You explain everything so well and I love your videos! Ty❤ btw getting blood work done to make sure thinning is not hormonal or something else.

Good luck with the blood work. I think we know when our hair has to be washed...if we are using good products...without sulfates...it should be ok. I have washed my hair every single day of my adult life...I however, do not use hot tools...or lots of hair spray ( alcohol ) or products on it...just my oils, mask , shampoo and conditioners ...with the exception of a few mousses /volumizers when I am getting all fancy smancy

Tammy I really love your videos I went into my hall of beauty closet and I found at least for those oils that I had just purchased over the winter so I guess tomorrow when I come home from the gym I'm going to massage the oils in my hair for 1 hour before I shower. And you are so absolutely right we need to take care of ourselves because nobody else will take care of my friend

The best, you push me to take better care of myself, so much thanks. When I had an allergic reaction on my scalp causing hair to fall out it was warmed up avocado oil and 2 drops of lavender oil, so soothing and healing for my scalp. Love your recipe and cleaning day will now never look the same. I have the longest hair ever, thanks covid, but it looks good, keep on being fearless, much love, A

The best thing I did for my fine thinning hair was to stop coloring my hair. I always had it professionally colored, but the difference in my hair health and thickness since I quit coloring is remarkable and I get a lot less breakage. It took more than two years but now I have a nice short bob of healthy, shiny hair. I love it. Had I known it would look this good, I would have quit coloring a long time ago. Growing it out was really terrible, but I went cold turkey and am glad I did. Can’t wait to try some of your suggestions now! I’ve used the Lanza Healing Moisture shampoo and conditioner ever since you recommended it many years back.

may i ask your age? just a ballpark. i believe i have been getting the wrong info from my hair colorist/stylist. she has veered me away from several things i have read on the internet, and i am starting to doubt her veracity. 7/17 i had a very serious neck surgery. my hair and scalp r so dry. my teeth r starting to bother me from dry mouth, but i have taken care of that. she tells me this is temporary, she has been telling me this for a while now. i am 78, i have been led to believe by this woman that thin hair is part of the aging process. since i have many friends who do not have thinning hair, i know this is false.

Will try some variation of this; Likely I won't have more than an hour total for this, but I will give it a go once a week for several weeks and see how my hair/scalp do. Also, I may not use all the oils you use (just a budget issue), but something better than nothing. Thanks for sharing this.

Between peri menopause and hypothyroid my hair was thinning badly, the only thing that really stopped the probes for me was buying a laser comb specifically made for thinning hair. The one I use is called HairMax. Made the biggest difference for me. For itching and flaking I use an oil cleanser once a week or the Ordinary’s 7% glycolic toner on my scalp once a week to clean and exfoliate my scalp, and that really helped with those issues.

Elaine Humphrey it’s been 2 years so I don’t remember that well, but I think I saw the decrease in hair in the shower pretty quickly. It took a really long time to tell if my hair was actually getting thicker, as obviously the growing out process takes a long time. 2+ years later I can definitely say my hair is thicker.is it the hair of my youth? Not even close, and the hairs that have grown back are thinner than they used to be, but I think my hair looks pretty good now, and that’s what matters.

I’ve been loosing hair for two years and no one can figure out why. I’m on vitamin D..daily and weekly doses, on iron, on all three bio identical hormones since going through menopause but no one can tell me why I’m losing my hair. It’s very scary at this point. I’m going to try all this and see how it works. My hair is very dry. Even with Covid I stopped dying and stopped using heat and it still didn’t help. So I’m excited to try this. Thanks so much!!

Dear hair guru 🙌🏻 ☺️ I am going to accept your challenge! Because EVERY hair recommendation you’ve given that I’ve purchased has worked. Also, because I stopped getting my keratin treatments which were $250.00 every 5 weeks 😳and I’m troubled by how bad my actual hair texture is 😖 so I did this routine Tuesday and I’m happily shocked ALREADY with the results. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 All I had on hand was plain caster oil, pure Argan, and jojoba for my scalp massage and olive oil on the rest. Today I’m ordering the following from your links; geranium, rosemary, coconut, & black castor oil. I’m excited to do this weekly because it wasn’t hard at all! I’m one of those women who WILL take time on my personal care ESPECIALLY when my efforts pay off! I love and appreciate you SO MUCH! ❤️🤗
