Hi, Just started using Log40m.. running with Thetis, Anan 8000DLE and a recent addition of an FTDX101MP.. All working fine.. changing the com port of omni rig lets me use the 991A.. Quality. As mentioned it makes HRD look like something from the 80s.. although it does work fine. Log40M has everything Zi need on one screen... brilliant and will drop some cash over as this sort of quality does need support.. A quick question.. what skin is that your using in Powersdr... looks good. Thanks for a good video.☺️

Yes it does. ABsolutely. You only loose the connection between the radio to the logging software. 73

Great video I also use log4om when I type in a callsign I get the details of the station but the frequency window is blank ! And sometimes there isn’t even a graphic

Hi This is an old video and Version 2 may help you. Also make sure its fully updated. Depending on your radio then you may need a CAT connection to the computer to be able to read the frequency. The map could be poor internet connection? Glad you enjoyed the vid. Dont forget to Like & Subscribe.73

Nice taster of this logging program. Question. I have several calls, well some DX callsigns from past expeditions but also in Sweden we can have our regular SM or SA call + another additional calls for contesting or whatever vanity you wish LOL. The software I am using now is, well, its good but its made by a ham for himself and he is sharing it which basically means that if he is not interested in FT8 or what have you he will not include it. The good thing though is that you can have many many callsign separate logs in there and if you want to combine your award tracking it will let you do it. Can you do this with the Log4OM? Does it have bandmap capability? 73

It takes it as the current date and time unless you manually enter it.

Still can't get my cat connection to work from my ftdx 101d as just no idea what settings to put into omnirig :( have watched so many videos now but still can't find one that gives the settings....can you help please

Hi Andy. Have you tried telling OmniRig that it is a 991. This may work.

@@andy2E0JIU And I take it that you are using Log4OM Ver 2 latest updates etc. Have you tried altering the RS232 baud rate. to 38400? I really am guessing as I have only seen 101d at Hamfest. I would have thought it follows same lines as 991 & 3000 though.Try CAT RTS On/Off. Checkout www.g4irn.com/home/articles-information/ftdx101-setup-with-dx4win-wsjt-x. Maybe send him an email.

Also I keep getting told to use the enhanced com port but mine don't come up on device manager as enhanced.dont suppose you have a direct link for the drivers I need to make sure I've done that right? Yep you've probably guessed I am terrible with computers but thankuou for your help and advice

@@andy2E0JIU That could be your issue. In you PC >Device Manager>Ports> You shoul see two ports and 1 should be an ENHANCED Com port. Thats the one. I cant help you with drivers support other than suggest the 991 driver is called CP210x. Take a look here.
