That’s what everyone says that can’t handle the caliber. I carry Glock 30 45 acp and everyone who shoots with me either shoots 9mm or shoots 22 and call my 45 too snappy. I’m honestly surprised how many people carry a 22 caliber. And I’m surprised how many people don’t do their research before talking down calibers.

No, the 26 is still one of their big sellers, and for a reason - The reliability and versatility are still almost unmatched, and as you said, that thick slide that everyone likes to pick on, is actually it being a short battle size pistol. Different tools for different jobs. I have a 26/4 and a 26/5, And over the past couple of years I've added a 19/5 and a 27/5. I have really warmed up to the Gen 5. I am a lefty for one, but besides that, I do find them more accurate and they shoot much smoother, and personally, out of a fairly decent number of Glocks that I own (nothing compared to your quantity I'm sure, but more than most people), The Gen 5 triggers are by far the best. I have other pistols as well from other brands, and honestly I don't think the Gen 5 triggers are any worse than some of the others that I have. You should have seen what I had to do to get the trigger right on a shield. Talk about fit and finish issues... But anyway, I still waver between those pistols, and the occasional one with the 43X, but I am rapidly coming back to the 26 and 27. I really like 40, and I have talked to an awful lot of people who still like it, and I have heard several people in gun stores say they think it's probably going to make a comeback. We will see, but anyway God bless, and thank you for the video!

Most people going in to buy guns now barely even shoot them and lean far more into how the gun feels in their hand than how it shoots, which makes Glock’s grip angle and short grip seem silly and uncomfortable… But then you go shoot it and it shoots almost like a 19, rather than the tiny snappy guns. The first time I held a Glock, I almost immediately wrote it off compared to the Walther or Sig or S&W options. Until I shot it… so glad I burned a bunch of time at the range doing “research.”

I have the Holosun SCS on my G19 MOS that screws directly in to the slide, no plate. That's the way to go. Cowitnesses with the sights immediately. Hopefully all optic companies offer something like that. Today I am concealed carrying the G19 with a flannel over my shirt as well. But I love my gen5 G26 for when the weather is warmer and I'm not wearing overshirts. My 26 is not MOS, and Glock still hasn't given the G26 a rail, but to be honest, I carry my G26 as smallest and lightest option. I also pocket carry a powerful little flashlight 🔦 qnd practice the flashlight and handgun techniques. Even though I could get a light for my G19, I haven't felt the need to do so yet. The only upgrade to my 26 is getting iron night sights. Would love to try out the performance trigger but there's also something attractive to me about going basic as much as I can 😂
