@@joyboy2016 In this movie Wanda is the villain (which I dont like but thats besides the point) shes been taken in by the influence of this evil book and wants to use this dimension traveling girl named America in order to find her imaginary sons who actually exist in an alternate universe. Right now shes using her powers to make this forest pretty when in reality its a dead evil forest. Shes trying to appear like one of the good guys but she slips up and mentions "America" before Dr Strange does, revealing that she's plotting something.

​@claireb9870 yes, in Multiverse of Madness Wanda is the villain as the Scarlet Witch in full. At the end of Wandavision she gets ahold of an artifact known as the Darkhold, which is a book of dark magic that is inherently evil and corrupts its users. It preyed upon her desire to get her family back so she was hunting America to steal her ability to step between universes, with the goal of finding a universe where her kids were alive, killing that universe's version of herself, and taking her place as thier mother. Though she does manage to come back to her senses right at the end and winds up taking herself out while obliterating every instance of the Darkhold from every universe.

In this scene, Wanda isn't using her reality powers, but the some of the Darkhold's mind-altering/illusion magic. Because of that, it's my personal headcannon that Wanda's slip-up pings in Stephen's mind and the illusion starts breaking down even before the spell is revealed to the audience. It does literally nothing for the plot, but I think it fits with how tragically deranged and distracted Wanda was. She soft-balled the approach, blew it, and thought "well, sorry bud, but now I have to likk you...".
