The "out of nowhere dmg" might be a swing multiplier, same reason to use monk 4th swing with nuke. I've been messing around with merc a little bit too, and now youve got me reconsidering my build after seeing that drenched power is a 70% dmg bonus lol.

If you're wondering I varied arti's hd merc build slightly: water chip -> oil chip / storm chip -> axearang / burning strikes -> poisoned blades / weakness targetting -> lightning touch / ring of time -> ring of water / sandstorm -> feeding frenzy, ive found that axearang for sure and maybe bouncing phoenix being able to apply poison blades + lightning touch + water ring on hit gives me enough reliable cc for controller, the oil + bouncing phoenix gives oil to at least 5 targets and guarenteed to the enemy in front of you, plus ring of water, feeding frenzy, and water dmg pet is enough to drench whoever i need.

ik the merc has the same as monk but it does not affect the bounching phoenix dmg as far as ik so should not be the reason i do so much dmg. and ik why it does the high dmg but sometimes inconsisten

@@scoutsturtorials8915 I thought you meant the normal swing dmg, for the phoenix the only thing I can think of is either you're not used to seeing drenched power / controller / anti melee all boosting the damage, the enemy is getting an extra debuff from somewhere, or phoenix is applying water ring. I dont remember if it does but its a possibility.

Your build sounds good but is it better than mine? Does it achive more fps. I ask because i might need to swtich around. But i dont see how that bukld can crit for that much dmg

Some things seem to apply to a barbarian build similar to this small damage then suddenly out of no where Boom massive damage.

for your barb its because when all status effects apply your bounching phoenix will do huge dmg. And you TTT is the mod that the sudden nuke is most likely coming from :)

Yes however yoy will only get like 10 or 15% more dmg and that is great but you would most likely switch out one of his anti’s with merc i added a anti

Daggers dont matter just make sure the primary is heavy 4/s second dagger does not matter at all

Does the drenched effect wear off if the enemy is frozen ?

I got drenching mod on my ev build, and it gabe me a huge dmg boost and on her they are frozen 100% of the time aswell, so it should not matter in all the testing i did

@@scoutsturtorials8915 isn't ice chip then better then storm because you will do the shatter compo more and it gives a huge damage

Yes shattercombo is great but also just so you take into account storm can be better since whit ice you cant cc frost enemies. But yes shatter better for dmg

Just copy the build and you will get the same, i could not even tell you the math behind it dd2 math makes no sense xD

If they are not you will loose out on alot of dmg. But if you are early game you can make a set wooth only 9/10s to save gold. But if you want max dmg output u want everthing to be maxed out
