Hi BobInMissouri - Look up a bucket thresher. They work fantastic at removing the husks from hazelnuts once the husks are dry. It is a batch process, but it is FAR better than stripping them by hand. Maybe Mr. DK DIY already built one?

Put vibration motor on plastic bottle, it will remove all action except putting them in.
