I have never been in the hotel, and didn’t realize how neat it is! The Forshaw thing cracked me up. 😆 They have a catchy little jingle for their commercial that is played on radio stations here.

Forshaw, forshaw. Lol. I immediately told my husband that I'm not the only one with my sense of humor! 🤣 I'm from Arkansas and Missouri so it was nice to see homeland territory. My Mom worked at the Capital in Jefferson City for a few years (a few decades ago). If you can stop in on your way out it's worth it. It's really one of the prettiest Capitals I've been too and the setting is right at the river. Unique. Had family who lived in Independence. I live in Ontario Canada now so I've truly enjoyed your vlogs and seeing the states I've traveled through many year ago. Tell Blake we are huge Pink Floyd fans too and love a variety. Even named our dog Floyd. 😁 Enjoy St.Louis and each other. Have a blast.

My daughter's car died as she rolled into a hotel (Thank God) last time she came home. They towed it to a dealer after they were closed and she had it back the next morning before 11. Was really impressed. That was in Tennessee. I love when I can pay a human. I hate the ones that take a picture of your license....I especially hate the ones that do not send you a bill, but require you to go online yourself to pay. Wow! That hotel lobby is gorgeous! Have a great time. Safe travels.

The purple fields are soybeans. Between that and corn that’s mainly what’s planted here.
@MidCenturyWasted2 жыл бұрын
That was my guess!! I feel so smart now 😆 Blakes grandma in Iowa had told us corn & soybeans were the main crops and I knew corn didn’t look like that sooooo… 🤣

Your secret stopped being a secret weeks ago when y'all were talking about it during the planning stages!! Haha ... A little funny on the side, I turned on a plane spotting channel on my big TV while watching YT on the laptop and you mentioned "it's 7:47" as the Lufthansa 747 was getting reasdy to land at LAX... My head went in HUH? mode instantly...

Where's the coffee? I was waiting for the drive thru of Starbucks!! I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and watching your Vlog and hoping to have coffee with you guys! WTH. Ok I will get over it. The scenery was lovely, and everything looked nice and clean along the way. Now!, your hotel was Great! I bet it was very comfortable and the food looked wonderful. Should I mention the martinis? Those looked so interesting, and I might someday want to try one of those out! This was the first of your vlogs that I have watched so I'm going to have to back track and watch the beginning. AND, you are meeting Katie, how exciting! Have fun, and be safe. See ya soon, say hi to Katie! (who is that crazy lady?) LOL

There will be more tolls. Some take a debit card. Some scan your license plate and you register online. Part of the fun! 🚙 🛣

Laughing about your assumptions about auto repairs in the "midwest." As a northern midwesterner I can assure you your assumptions are incorrect, at least in metropolitan areas. I am sure there are some more rural smaller towns where things may take longer. I would guess it would be the same in rural areas in CA too. Blake's rant on toll roads made me giggle a little. When you go from WI where there are no tolls to toll roads in IL, there is a decline in road quality. You would think toll roads in IL would be in better condition since you are paying for their upkeep, but nope.

His grandma lives in a pretty rural area of Iowa, I guess I should have mentioned that 😆

@@MidCenturyWasted I drove through northern IA today and the wind was brutal. Trying to stay in a lane on the highway was a challenge. Fingers crossed you guys continue to miss the storms and have good driving conditions.
