Good tips! My unsolicited advice to beginners is skip the soft boot and go straight to a hard boot.
@SerialWheeler3 жыл бұрын
You're super right on that one! That's why the Oxelo MF500 is the only sub $100 hard boot option and the best option for that matter 😁. Have a great week 🤜🏻🤛🏻💥

70 euro for those Oxelo? Crazy value. I know what to get for my brother's birthday now. I actually was looking at some Amazon skates, but this clip came right on time. Thanks for all your work, wheeler Chris!

@@skategirl564 I'd recommend checking for PS Zoom 80. It will cost less than 100mm model, and the feet position will be closer to the ground, more stable due to Trinity frame compared to Oxelo. Also Trinity had 3point (hence the name) fastening to the boot, which (theoretically) provides with better power transfer and with better frame position customization. The heat moldable liner will ensure the best fit. Later, the 100mm frame can be purchased if needed. Although, with the complete set price, I'd believe it's worth just to by a new skates with 100mm wheels.

@@lisapet160 thanks so much for the advice! Must admit I fancy big wheels more and more, but you do have a point about being lower to the ground. Thing is Decathlon only has the 3x100mm version and Serial Wheeler was right. Any other shop has the Zoom priced with 40 euro extra. In any case, I'll see what I can find. Kisses!

Whats the difference between a hard/soft boot?
@SerialWheeler Жыл бұрын
Primarily it's the rigidity of the boot. If you plan to raise hell with speed runs or do marathons/ long commutes, then hardboot is your choice. For cruising around the city/park, softboot is best choice for comfort. ✌️

Mf500 are put of stock for some. Time now. What alternative should you recommend? , I want to go to the park with my 2 kids and their bicycles.
@SerialWheeler2 жыл бұрын
Look for the Powerslide Zoom 4x80 or 3x100. Also, Roces Gymnasium and Rollerblade Spark for affordable good park cruisers, with 90mm wheels. For park, the K2 Boa are a more premium choice. Hope these help you in your search 😉

Hi, what would be better for someone overweight and with wide foot: the Oxelo mf500, or Seba FRX? For cruising and freeriding/urban skating. Thanks
@markvv5963 жыл бұрын
I have to start with saying that I love my mf500, like I really love them. I have fallen in love with them this past summer and decided to upgrade to a fr1 boot (deluxe) this winter because it is off season and available. Now for your questions, I would say that the fr boot is generally known for having a wide toe box and just producing great durable product so never a bad option. Now for the oxelo, I am quite light and my style is more like bill stoppard (you should look him up). So quickly moving around, and just ripping trough the city (not to say that skating is not for people who are on the heavier side, eather way it is a blast), so I can’t really say anything about the weight that they can handle, mainly if the skate has a metal frame your fine. So in conclusion, I hope you fall in love with skating when you do decide to buy some skates and think that the investment of the frx will be definitely be worth your money! But the Oxello is also a great skate that will not disappoint.

If your foot is really wide, I would advise taking a look at the Rollerblade RB Cruiser boot (it comes with 4x80 or 3x110 variants). I actually have a review and lots of clips on them. Sure, they're a bit more expensive than the Oxelos, but quality is also much better, especially with the frame. Happy hunting!

Thank you so much for the video, Serial Wheeler ❤️ Could you please let me know if the Oxelo MT500/ ZOOM80 come true to size? I've seen you tried them in the shop and I could really use your advise since the only way I could try them is by ordering online (I'm nowhere near a Decathlon shoop atm). Thanks xx

Really happy you found it useful. I wear a 42 EU size shoe and have 26.5 - 26.7 cm long feet. I found that the Oxelo MF500 fits best at 42 EU size, so yes, true to size in my experience at least. Of course, every foot is different, but I think your feet should have no issue sliding in to the usual size you choose for your shoes ❤️.

Bro, how is oxela skates compare to other best brands for urban skating, I am planning to buy oxela mf900 which is under 100 dollar
@SerialWheeler3 жыл бұрын
They're awesome skates! I speak about them in this clip. They are indeed inferior to FR1, RB Twister etc., But the MF 900 are 3 to 4 times more affordable and they are simply amazing at that price. Know that they don't have brakes included though...
