Anna has exquisite taste, she was a designer for the Paris company Balmain. They're currently renovating the kitchen and her attention to detail, for example her prepping of very old woodwork and plaster before painting like a master painter. - I'm obsessed with XO, MaCenna right now because she's renovating an entire house mostly BY HERSELF and has been scouring Texas flea markets for months for all her interior design (she's obsessed with thrifting/antiques). And she's salvaging as many materials as she can while ALSO films/edits all her own videos and is just mega chill. - And I absolutely ADORE How to Renovate a Chateau. Their story telling, film making, DIY style, and the ancient feel of that gorgeous french chateau is just too too good.

I LOVE How to Renovate a Chateau! There's simply nothing else like it out there, I mean where else can you follow along to someone completely renovating a huge, historical building every week? They are doing things properly, making sure to restore what they can, keeping the style intact and also research the history of the place. I mean they frickin planted trees that won't really grow for YEARS, because "they will look so good in 200 years". Also their personalities makes the more "vlogging-esque" videos highly enjoyable even without a lot of interior stuff.

Architecture Hunter (v similar to The Local Project) is one, I have enjoyed some of the Schumacher1889 stuff and occasionally there's something entertaining on Homeworthy (not all, some) and then Hunting for George sometimes excites me (although they reaaaally need to cut back on the production - it gets a bit grating sometimes). Not exactly an interior design channel, but my all time fave is Kirsten Dirksen. Since you like the 'not overproduced' but eclectic, unique, lived-in style homes, i think you might like this. Hi Paige I very rarely comment in any social media setting though I certainly do observe. There are very few places I've found containing good content when it comes to Interior design etc. I watched this video earlier today hoping I'd find something I'd missed here in KZbin through your recommendations but unfortunately those you recommended I already knew. ( Just goes to show how much time I spend looking here) At the end of your video you asked for suggestions so I thought I'd throw in my 10 cents 😎. There are two you might appreciate, the first is Hunting for George and Eventhough a number of the houses are on the big budget and large scale ( not all are) there's almost always something beautiful in the way they're designed etc. The presenter has an inviting way I find of taking us on the tour as well as the way it's filmed and the camera man ( her other half) frame the shots and choice of music. The other is Homeworthy which has sometimes quirky apartments or houses but almost always interesting, original and in many cases very well done and thought about. If you do see this comment and get the chance to check them out please let me know what you thought Thanks for your videos, post and ideas. Your content is also one of those i enjoy from time to time. Best to you and yours. K✌🏾

As someone who has watched most of the channels you talked about and was surprised that didn't know the rest, I feel like we have a very similar sense of style and we both feel like we are missing something from the KZbin interior decor community. I will tell you what I feel like I am missing from interior decor channels on KZbin. Personally, I am not a designer and nor do I intend to be one, so I am looking for a channel that has unique style but also gives genuine ADVICE on interior decor. I feel like most channels do the same thing. They say WHERE they bought x piece of furniture or WHAT the name of the y color is on the wall, they DESCRIBE the process of buying those things but NEVER do they say WHY they made that decision. I want to know what colors and patterns go together. What pieces of furniture match for what space, how do I decide what color to paint a darker room and what a lighter room. I DON'T want to watch someone go buy a basket from target, or watch someone paint their room, I want them to tell me WHY they chose these specific furniture to go with the color/space and what mistakes to avoid. phew that was a lot. H&G has a wonderful collection of guidelines online for each individual room, so that is something I definitely read a lot. Some channels that help me with the same thing is yours and Nick Lewis. Even though your styles probably are very different, I highly recommend him, his advice is truly useful and within budget!

There are several home tours that I could watch over and over again and definitely find inspiring, including Dakota Johnson's, Michael Kors', Damon Dominique's, and Rajiv Surendra's. I really like Homeworthy. Lots of quirky places of people with eclectic styles. Short vids but not overly produced.

I would definitely recommend the “buzzed in” series by Elena Taber. She showcases a lot of really cool spaces and provides great background on the areas the spaces are located in.

Lynne here. I watch How to Renovate a chateau religiously. Anna is very talented and tries anything. They do most of the work themselves and have wonderful taste. Have you watched Scotland’s Home of the year? It’s def heavily produced but it focuses on regular peoples homes and they are judged. It’s not on your tube but worth a watch.

Wabi Sab-E is amazing such cool videos and funny about this couple completely renovating a farmhouse in Canada for themselves and growing family. The videos are so much fun and really great production quality. The design is also very cool and nice to see

A couple channel i enjoy: Kylie flavell (renovations and antiques in Tuscany), handcrafted homestead (a family renovating a farm), laura kampf (crazy projects), cecilia blomdahl (nothing to do with design, "just" living in svalbard, plus one of the cutest dogs)
