Yes you absolutely should keep watching How to Renovate a Chateau! Their banter and humor is just the cherry on top of their content. They keep it very realistic in terms of timelines and how much work the projects are for regular people that can hire jobs out but also do a lot themselves.

Anna has exquisite taste, she was a designer for the Paris company Balmain. They're currently renovating the kitchen and her attention to detail, for example her prepping of very old woodwork and plaster before painting like a master painter. The finished effect is always a wow, hopefully you will see the before and after.

- I'm obsessed with XO, MaCenna right now because she's renovating an entire house mostly BY HERSELF and has been scouring Texas flea markets for months for all her interior design (she's obsessed with thrifting/antiques). And she's salvaging as many materials as she can while ALSO films/edits all her own videos and is just mega chill. - And I absolutely ADORE How to Renovate a Chateau. Their story telling, film making, DIY style, and the ancient feel of that gorgeous french chateau is just too too good.

Yo Paige, small recommendation for a glimbse into special but actual real living situations and interiors check Kirsten Dirksen channel. I LOVE How to Renovate a Chateau! There's simply nothing else like it out there, I mean where else can you follow along to someone completely renovating a huge, historical building every week? They are doing things properly, making sure to restore what they can, keeping the style intact and also research the history of the place. I mean they frickin planted trees that won't really grow for YEARS, because "they will look so good in 200 years". Also their personalities makes the more "vlogging-esque" videos highly enjoyable even without a lot of interior stuff.

You basically just listed all the channels that I watch. I quickly went to my own subscriptions and I have 4 more for you. Architecture Hunter (v similar to The Local Project) is one, I have enjoyed some of the Schumacher1889 stuff and occasionally there's something entertaining on Homeworthy (not all, some) and then Hunting for George sometimes excites me (although they reaaaally need to cut back on the production - it gets a bit grating sometimes). I feel you on the lack of not-overproduced, cool stuff. It's so frustrating.

Not exactly an interior design channel, but my all time fave is Kirsten Dirksen. Since you like the 'not overproduced' but eclectic, unique, lived-in style homes, i think you might like this. What i like about this channel is also the fact that these homes were 'designed' mostly by the owners themselves, mostly out of practicality and necessity, injecting their own personal style into them. Hi Paige I very rarely comment in any social media setting though I certainly do observe. There are very few places I've found containing good content when it comes to Interior design etc. I watched this video earlier today hoping I'd find something I'd missed here in KZbin through your recommendations but unfortunately those you recommended I already knew. ( Just goes to show how much time I spend looking here) At the end of your video you asked for suggestions so I thought I'd throw in my 10 cents 😎. There are two you might appreciate, the first is Hunting for George and Eventhough a number of the houses are on the big budget and large scale ( not all are) there's almost always something beautiful in the way they're designed etc. The presenter has an inviting way I find of taking us on the tour as well as the way it's filmed and the camera man ( her other half) frame the shots and choice of music. The other is Homeworthy which has sometimes quirky apartments or houses but almost always interesting, original and in many cases very well done and thought about. If you do see this comment and get the chance to check them out please let me know what you thought Thanks for your videos, post and ideas. Your content is also one of those i enjoy from time to time. Best to you and yours. K✌🏾

As someone who has watched most of the channels you talked about and was surprised that didn't know the rest, I feel like we have a very similar sense of style and we both feel like we are missing something from the KZbin interior decor community. I will tell you what I feel like I am missing from interior decor channels on KZbin. Personally, I am not a designer and nor do I intend to be one, so I am looking for a channel that has unique style but also gives genuine ADVICE on interior decor. I feel like most channels do the same thing. They say WHERE they bought x piece of furniture or WHAT the name of the y color is on the wall, they DESCRIBE the process of buying those things but NEVER do they say WHY they made that decision. I want to know what colors and patterns go together. What pieces of furniture match for what space, how do I decide what color to paint a darker room and what a lighter room. I DON'T want to watch someone go buy a basket from target, or watch someone paint their room, I want them to tell me WHY they chose these specific furniture to go with the color/space and what mistakes to avoid. phew that was a lot. H&G has a wonderful collection of guidelines online for each individual room, so that is something I definitely read a lot. Some channels that help me with the same thing is yours and Nick Lewis. Even though your styles probably are very different, I highly recommend him, his advice is truly useful and within budget!

If you like AD, add this channel to your list: Schumacher1889. There are several home tours that I could watch over and over again and definitely find inspiring, including Dakota Johnson's, Michael Kors', Damon Dominique's, and Rajiv Surendra's. Even though their styles are quite different, each piece in their homes has a unique story associated with it, which I find so beautiful. It's a feeling and the love, uniqueness, and stories of the things that fill that space that separates a styled house from a beautiful home.

I was going to suggest How to Renovate a Chateau but wasn’t sure if it was design-y enough. But it’s great fun. They both have an enjoyable sense of humour and are big into DIY that actually looks good.

You reallllllly should look into Luke Edward Hall. He is an interior designer and artist and his stuff is so up your street (he designed a beautiful hotel in Paris-- Hotel les Deux Gares).

Hunting for George is an Australian channel that engages the architecture and design of new/renovated properties. The show creators also have some vlogs of how they have renovated their own properties as well.

Paige!! Would you consider doing a video about paint colors? Do’s and don’ts, how to incorporate color, and maybe even some specific colors you like? I feel like choosing paint colors can be a difficult decision and feels intimidating. I trust only your guidance!!!

I am not sure whether you know ABI interiors or not, but I am obsessed with their design, in my opinion it is somewhat accessable as you can easily find dupes for shown items. Also: Sophie Pattenson (or something like that) has a very cozy interior design taste (it is quite polished and expensive, but she goes really deep into concept, function and story of a place which is very inspiring).

I love many of these channels and thanks for some new ones to check out. Also, I echo the recommendations of How to Renovate a Chateau. It's interesting, funny and totally worth your time. Like other folks, I'm excited about the kitchen renovation. Also, Garrett LeChic is a fun channel. His style isn't the same as yours but I love his delivery, how he throws a bit of shade, has his tongue firmly in cheek at times -- and his little old 17 year old blind dog who makes cameos.

This isn't strictly a design channel, but Christine Nguyen has a home tours Playlist and I always like the homes she features. Pretty sure it's just her friends homes she tours but I really loved the one of Joonmi and Chunbo from Seattle

My suggestions (outside of the great ones other people are offering) are Harper's Bazaar and Vogue France! They're certainly more produced and of the monied class, but really inspiring to me.

Lynne here. I watch How to Renovate a chateau religiously. Anna is very talented and tries anything. They do most of the work themselves and have wonderful taste. Have you watched Scotland’s Home of the year? It’s def heavily produced but it focuses on regular peoples homes and they are judged. It’s not on your tube but worth a watch.
