i always use deepslate but not for my defense. i use it as my main block later in the game because after i purchase diamond armor and a bow, i dont use diamonds for anything i need. i also wanna save iron for fireballs. instead of buying wool with iron, i buy deepslate with diamonds. its just easier and more helpful

first of all ur bed-protecting strat was bad, here's how i do it. i go get 5 iron and get the wool and make a bridge to get the diamonds. by the time i get there there's already 2 and i instantly use those to get deepslate and make sure 100% no one breaks my bed early game. then i go back to get one more diamond to go upgrade my thing rq and use the extra iron there to get myself more wool, sword, and maybe some armor to get emeralds once it get between 4-16 emeralds i got back and get about 7 diamonds at the middle spawner and then use it to upgrade my spawner to the max and then used all the gold to get turrets, and emeralds on regen and diamond sword. then i just wait around until i have enough diamonds for diamond armor and if i have a lot i will use my iron for charges and the extra diamonds for bridges. and then the best step of all. roleplay as doom eternal. and boom you won
