I feel like Nintendo failed with 200cc. I am playing the Grand Prix right now and I just get bombed by red shells and blue shells, yet the Ai never get hindered, they don’t even have to slow down for turns or drift. Somehow they are able to just go full speed through every course with no problem yet my cart can’t. They made it completely unfair imo

I picked MK8D up after a while and started having tons of fun! The BRC build you showed was the same one I used in 150cc Time Trials even before I saw the video, and I'm glad to see this video confirmed. I will definitely practice when I go after Gold Mario. 😉

My personal 200cc recommendations (i primarily play 200): Lakitu, Yoshi bike, Leaf tires, and Gold/Standard Glider. This combo works really really well in 200cc for some reason, and I can almost guarantee it'll work well for you!! EDIT 05-18: The roller tires, specifically azure rollers, seem to work even better; paired with yoshi bike, mini turbo charges up extremely quickly.

Mini scotter is probably the better pick because of its smaller hit box because with such a light set up one bump will send you flying

I dont have the mini buggie so i use the streetle and i also dont have the cloud glider so i use the parachute its really goos cuz i was very far ahead on 200cc and i use babg luigi or baby mario

What makes acceleration one of the best stats on 200cc? I feel like I hear you say it often but idk if you've explained why.

Cause you dotn need speed, you will almost never reach top speed just driving, acceleration gets you out of corners quicker

Acceleration = how fast your vehicle can reach top speed from 0. The higher this statistic, the faster you go. Speed affects your boosts from mini-turbos, boost panels, and tricks off ramps, IIRC. So OP is mentioning that since your objective is to complete laps as fast as possible, acceleration plays a bigger factor than your speed.

@@Zacari nah see that's just saying that acceleration makes you faster, which I already knew. I was asking why specifically on 200CC that happens. I think I've since realised that the benefit of acceleration comes from how often you need to brake therefore you aren't going at full speed. Also speed doesn't affect mini turbo boosts, that's the separate hidden mini turbo stat.
